OH NOEZ

So yesterday I found a box of jelly in the cupboard and I almost ate it all. My grandma was like, "You should read the expiration date before you eat that stuff." So I was like: Okay, that wouldn't hurt. So I read the expiration date and I WAS LIKE WUTTTTTTTTTTTT~~~The thing is that the jelly expired A YEAR AGO and I ate it. Didn't taste like anything except peaches (peach flavored jelly!) True story.

Hhehehehhehe

Yesterday I took a walk with my grandparents and we saw fruit trees. PEAR TREES. APPLE TREES.PEACH TREES. I found a pear on the ground and picked an apple. Geez that tasted sour. The peaches looked too gross (they were covered in peach fur) so I didn't touch them. Then I picked lots and lots of wild flowers for my tin can vase. Yesssss. I LOVE SUMMER. SO MUCH FUN.

Here I Am

So my adventure for July is pretty much over. Now I am already back in Frankfurt and we are staying in my uncle's house with him and my grandparents. The first two days here I got my chance to really kick back and relax. I watch Chinese tv shows about the Japanese invasion with my grandpop every day. So epicly epic. Anyway the day before yesterday my uncle took us to Heidelburg (I hope this is the correct spelling) and we went to one of the oldest castles of Europe. Geez. It was so amazing. The castle is from the 12th century and was damaged many many times. Half of it has already become a ruin. But I like ruins----it's history! Anyway that was a nice trip. Now I have to do some real work, like playing piano and theory and stuff. They don't have a piano here, only a keyboard, so I can only play that. But it's really no big deal.

For some reason I kinda want to go back to school and be with my friends. I am really really sad at the fact that my bestest friend Asma won't be staying with me in Churchill in grade 9. She's moved to Richmond. Sigh~~~She was my first friend in Canada. I know we can still communicate through the internet or the phone, but it's just not the same. I will have to walk home alone without her unless I find a new bud to walk home with me everyday. My other friends don't live close by my house so yeah.

I should stop being so down.

Anywayz, can't wait to see the new Synerd who is joining us next year.

Thank you, Mr. Sale

I can´t upload the pictures I´ve taken along my Mediterranean trip now but I can still write about what I did today. We are staying in Barcelona for two days. Barcelona is really really cool. We visited the Sagrada Familia, a cathedral designed by a famous architect called Gaudi. It is still not finished. It looked different from all the other churches and cathedrals I´ve visited. The roof looked like drippin´wax and there were colorful fruit sculptures on top of the towers. We didn´t have the time to go inside the cathedral because the lineup was soooooo long. So then we went to this mountain top and saw this old castle from the 16th century. I love castles. Well I forgot the name of the castle (it´s on this brochure but I don´t have it with me rite nao). It was used as a jail a long time ago by the French people but the Spanish ppl managed to recapture it later. There was a moat but there was no water in it. Instead it served as a garden. There were four little towers on each end of the castle wall. We climbed onto the top of the castle and there were four more little watch towers. I got in one of then. The watch tower was small, with three narrow windows for lookouts and the archer. It.was.so.amazing. Mr. Sale taught us about castles last term and I am so lucky to see them in real life. ME GUSTA.

Brussels

We also went to Brussels. Very nice city. However I don't remember much about our stay there since it was a short stay. Well we went and saw Manneken Pis, which was a statue of a little boy peeing. It was actually a very tiny statue. I thought it would be in the center of this huge plaza but instead it was in a small corner on the street. Well enough about that. We also saw the king's palace.

öööööööööööö teh palace!!!

That's basically it for Brussels. More blogs coming up after my Mediterrranean trip.

Amsterdam

Amsterdam is this beautiful place with small rivers and boats. Moo-moo cows, blah -blah sheep and Neigh-neigh horses are common sights on farm lands.

bleh bleh sheep!
We went to this windmill village. There were several clog workshops in the village.
awesome windmillz

clogs on the wall!

This clog maker showed us the procedure of making clogs. He had a piece of fresh, light-colored wood. Then he put the wood into this machine and the machine shaved the wood until a rough shape of the clog appeared. The digger also dug a hole in the middle, and there was a lot of wood juice in the clog when the machine stopped. The clog maker then sliced off the front of the clog and gave it a nice pointy tip.
the clog maker at work
öööö fresh clogs!!!!!

Köln

So this is the Cologne Cathedral we saw in Köln. It's in gothic style and it's a Roman Catholic church. It took more than 600 hundred years to finish the completion of this cathedral. When we went there part of it was still under construction.

this is the cathedral

this is one of the entrances of the cathedral. Just tilt ur head. Somehow I can't rotate the picture...
the cathedral iz hugggggeeeeeeee

FINALLYYYYY INTERNET

Okay, it's been like what, 10 or 11 days since I wrote my last blog? Anyway I was traveling in a lot of countries in Europe with this tour group. We went to France, Holland, Luxemburg, Vatican, Italy and Austria, and of course, Germany. Nao I am back in Frankfurt. I can use the computers in this hotel for free. During my trip I only had access to the computer for ONCE, and we had to pay 10 Euros for 1 hour, and we basically did nothing except trying to upload some pictures. Well we failed at the end. That computer was so old and incredibly slow. Ugh. But now I can finally get my hands on the keyboard. YIPEPEPEPEPE!!!!

I am gonna blog about my trip in my next blog (tomorrow) and maybe I will even upload some pictures I took if poss. I miss Canada, but my stay in Europe is not over yet. Two days later my mom and I are gonna go to France (again, but in a different city), Milano and Spain. Then we are gonna come back to Frankfurt and stay with my grandparents. Phew.

What time is it in Vancouver? Right now it's 22:53 July 17 in Frankfurt...

Frankfurt

I am in Frankfurt am Main, Germany right nao! Our flight lasted for like almost 10 hours. We flew across Canada and omg the view was amazing down below because as we went up north there were more land covered in snow. Some large bodies of water were frozen too. It was really really cool. There were frost-starfishes on the window.

Anyway, it's like 10:37 ish at night in Frankfurt right now. I had a wonderful day here. First we arrived at the air port really early in the morning and asked our way to the shuttlebus. We then took the shuttle bus down to terminal 1. Then we took the train all the way to Central station, or the Hauptbahnhof train station. Frankfurt's train purchasing system is a lot like the ones we have in Vancouver. You just have to select the place you wanna go and choose the type of ticket you wanna purchase (example: a one-way ticket). Anyway, the train was really old-fashioned, with loud sliding doors and weird knobs. The seats were comfy though.

We got to Central station after 2 stops. Geez, the train station is really really old, with cathedral-like structures and such. Our hotel is right across the train station because tomorrow we have to go with this tourist group we signed up for and we are suppose to meet near the parking lot just the opposite side of the train station. So we´ve picked a good location for our hotel. I was really jet-legged when I got to our room and I just slept. Like, I should not have done that because that would just mess up my natural time clock...but oh what the heck. I woke up at about 7 something and we went to the train station again to get some dinner. There are a lot of stores at the train station. I got Burger King because I was sooooooo hungry but at the end it tasted really really bad. My mom, on the other hand, got traditional spaghetti and brezel ( a fish-shaped bread thingy). Next time I am gonna try some local food instead of junk food. ö

Sigh.... :o)

I am really looking forward to tomorrow. I think we are gonna go to Cologne and Münich...and some other places in Germany as well. But I gotta sleep nao.Meow.

MOM Y U NO GIMME COOKIE and MY NIGHTMARE STORY

So today my mom bought a lot of delicious yummy stuff. I tried to sneak one away and devour it but my mom was like NO. I was like "WHYYYYYYYYYY"~~~Then I found out that all the yum-yums are for the trip. Sigh~~~ This is like torture. I CANNOT eat all the treats until I am on the plane.

Enough about that. Now, uh, I keep on having nightmares every night. To be honest with you I've never had a pleasant dream before. All the nightmares I had are either really really weird dreams or super intense & freaky dreams. I just had this epic dream last night, and here's everything I remember from the dream:

So, the beginning was blurrrrrrrry (I basically remembered NOTHING about the beginning of that dream). Then there was WATER. The ocean. Greenish blue. Deep (I cannot swim so greenish-blue water is my biggest fear). Lost things in the water. Wrecked objects. And somehow I am on this rock step right in the water....Rocks...dripping water....ANYWAY, and then we are on this bus, like me and my classmates....and something else about the water...OHH OHHHH I remember! We had to take a test! There were all sorts of traps....and we got stuck in this building with really really low ceiling and we could never get out it was dark...whenever we get on this floor it just winds back! The windows are all triangles...

I SOUND RIDICULOUS DON'T I.

I TUZKI U?

And So I Thought

Maybe I've mentioned this before (or maybe I haven't). I am doing photography 10 next year and to tell you the truth, I don't really take a lot of pictures, so my experience is kinda low...-.- I just hope it can be as easy as Art 9 but I don't think it's gonna be THAT easy. To be honest with you i DON'T REMEMBER choosing this as one of my electives. However, my dad says that I did, but I have absolutely no memory of it! My dad was pretty happy about me doing photography next school year because he loves taking pictures with his camera. Some of my thoughts of photography is that it's gonna be a lot like painting & sketching because you have to know where the light goes and shadows and stuff like that. The golden triangle rule will probably come in handy...who knows? Anyway I am excited for next year already. Can't wait to try photography! Oh, and meeting the new synergy kid(s). But heck, I've got a big trip next Tuesday, so I'mma worry about that first.

Soup

I felt like eating soup this afternoon so I told my dad to get me some cream of mushroom soup. He got golden mushroom soup for me instead...and I had never tried then before. But heck it was delicious when I cooked it up. It's like this light orangy color, and kinda salty, but I like salty stuff. Hehehehhehehe. I pour it from a saucepan to a bowl and it was actually a lot of soup. It was nice and steamy and not too thick either. Tasted like wonderful mushrooms.Yummy. I drank the whole thing. Mmmmmmmm. ME GUSTA GOLDEN MUSHROOM SOUP.
