Nuuuuu Change of Plan

Our buskerfest group has a change of plan. Tomorrow we are gonna do the performance in the cafe and we have decided to come early tomorrow morning to rehearse, which is something we never did before. Today I found out that we need a louder song so Jessie had some ideas such as SpongeBob and the Simpsons. I think that might work out. I am gonna bring that special Chinese flute of mine because the piano is not gonna work out in the cafe and I hate keyboard because I usually run out of keys in a piano piece on a keyboard. Carina and Jessie and Jennica are probably gonna do the violin/viola, and April and Leslie are gonna stick with the vocals. I hope everything goes well tomorrow. This afternoon we didn't do much because it was afterschool and nobody came to the drama room corner. Sigh~~~ but oh well at least we got things sortened out, kinda. Looks like buskering ain't gonna be easy...0.0 But I will definitely try my best tomorrow and hopefully get some coins. DONATION PLZ~~~~~

Next year we are still gonna do the same thing and perhaps then I will be more prepared and experienced with all the procedures and such. But right now I gotta go practice mah flute. Cya~~~

Woot Hoot

Buskerfest today ppl! We did a flash mob in the cafe at lunchtime. It was exactly the best but it was really fun and I tried my best to pour my energy into the dance. The funny part about the dance was that everyone just screamed when the music came on and ripped off their hoodies. LOL. Before that Vivian C. and I just chatted about how to say weird things in Cantonese, like the word "mushroom".

I think my group is gonna perform on Wednesday in the drama room and Thursday in the cafeteria. Now I have to practice my piano song for April and perhaps my own little solo. I am not really sure about the solo. I like group performance more and that would really bring up the spirit as well.

I RAN LANGARA TODAY AND IT WAS AWESOMEEEEEE!!!!!! I totally went out of my mind. At the beginning I tried to run with Ruth, the fastest girl in our class, but then she was too fast for me so I ran on my own. I sorta ran with Kevin ( not the Kevin in synergy, another in my PE class) because he ran the same pace as mine, but later I got too tired and just slowed down. When it was halfway through the run my throat got blocked and I couldn't breathe right so I walked for a few seconds before finally picking up my pace. At the end I sprinted and got the time 14:46. My best record all year!!!!! (last time I got 17:36 and the last last time I got 17:31). This just shows how practice improves one's ability. ME PROUD OF MAHSELF:D

So Many Things Happened Today

Yep. I am gonna talk about today. But before I do that, I must tell you about mah piano recital at this UBC recital hall yesterday. I think I did a good job. I was a bit nervous at the beginning when I was still downstage, but my mom calmed me down with dark chocolate. Oui oui~~~ Then when it was my turn, I went up and played Variation in A Minor by Kabelevsky. I got a bouquet of flowers at the end and they smelled wonderful. Yeahhhhhhhhh~~~~I am gonna use them for my still life painting today. The tiger lilies and these huge orange daisy-like flowers are gonna look fantastic with fruits. But the make-up I wore really bothered me. I had to wash mah face so many times to remove the powder and stuff. I HATE LIPSTICKS. IT TASTED LIKE...it was just horrible. But the recital was a tonne of fun, so I regret nothing.

Today my mom gave me a haircut. Yes. And now I look like one of those long-capped mushrooms growing in wetlands and stuff. -.- She cut my hair so short!!! It was up to my shoulders. I used to have short hair but that was like in grade 5. I loved mah long hair. I am still gonna grow long hair. LONG HAIR = Winning. I still remember the days when I had long hair. I used to whip it around my friends. I WHIP MAH HAIR BACK AND FORTH~~~

I love the sun outside. This afternoon I am gonna paint, play the piano and do a Langara run with my dad if possible. I don't want the long weekend to end. But tomorrow is Day 2, my favorite day out of the two days. Oui oui oui. Oui oui oui.

ITZ FRIDAY, FRIDAY, GOTTA GET DOWN ON FRIDAY~~~

Track meet got canceled today! Yessssssss. I don't have to do the 800-m anymore. It was a shame for long jump though. But hey, it's luck~~~LOL. Kinda ironic how the weather turned better in the afternoon. But oh well. French was scary because Ms. Chuaqui was in a weird mood. English was pretty much a breeze since we just did journal and read A Wizard of the Earthsea. I am only up to page 79 and Carina's already read it twice...o.o We got coke-flavored candy at the end. Me Gusta. For lunch I had to go to Mr. Renk's to get my watercolor project glued together. Thnx Carrr for helping me out. :D

I was so late when I got to the cafeteria. The only thing I got was a cheeseburger and a juice box. The cheeseburger tasted like heaven since I was so hungry at that time, and I gulped down the juice in a flash. Nuuuuuuuuuu. I CAN HAS A CHEEZBURGER?

I GOT A FREE SHIRT TODAY! It's a black shirt for Buskerfest with an iPod on it. Me gusta. And for math, my teacher called me a guy. She is a sub and had epic Chinese accent but it didn't matter. The class was fine. Lillian Y U LEAVE FOR DENTIST APPOINTMENT? I was so lonely without you. FOREVER ALONE~~~

LOLZ

LOLOLLOLLL. The science test and socials test today weren't that hard at all! Man I really put an effort into mah socials test. The cool thing about the socials test is that we got to work in groups of three instead of writing the test by ourselves. I got to write the test with two awesome and insanely smart ppl Fiona and Kathy X. The questions were a bit different from what we used to do but it was alright. And yessss I am so glad that we got the date question right. We selected year 1066 and were suppose to write a sentence about it and we came up with William the Conqueror and when I checked mah textbook later, I found out that it was RIGHT~~~ The best part of the test was the play-doh cathedral. We were required to build a Gothic cathedral from play-doh and some other materials Mr. Sale gave us. Our group got challenged because Mr. Sale gave us a small container of play-doh (he did that on purpose). But at the end we got to finish it and it was so fun. PLAYDOH RULEZ.

I am still really hyper right now. I have piano tonight and tomorrow's track meet. But seriously I really want it to rain tomorrow because I just don't have the energy to do a track meet. The 800-m Sentai Dash is probably gonna kill me. Long jump....Not so sure about that. I really need to burn some blubber.

OH NOES!!!!

Noooooooo!!! I have to study for socials and science tonight! Tomorrow we are having tests on both subjects...I've started my notes for socials on Monday, but I did nothing about science because I was so exhausted yesterday that I went to sleep right after dinner. Ugh. Now I have to study, study and study from four o'clock in the afternoon 'til maybe 11 something in the evening! Sigh. I am gonna miss a few of my favorite TV shows. Oh well. Good marks are always > TV. Thank you Kathy C and Cynthia for making these awesome notes! <3

By the way, the track meet in on Friday. I think I am gonna go insane on that day. I think I hurt my knee on Monday during the epic Langara run. Nuuuuuuuuuuu. I must have a good rest on Thursday night in order to be good on Friday morning. I am sooo busy this week! And heck, I have ANOTHER piano recital coming up!!!!!

Buttercups

Mmmmmmmmm. Those buttercups looked so IRRESISTIBLE. I love buttercups. I love their vibrant color. I saw more of them today when I took a walk around the Langara golf course. They grow in a bunch. Their petals felt smooth and they looked oily. OILY~~~~You know buttercups remind me of food? Buttercups are made out of butter I think. They are one of my favorite wild flowers. But what really affects me is that today when I saw those buttercups they had tiny spider webs on their stalks. Well, some of them. But they are signs of the spring. ME GUSTA BUTTERCUPS. ME CONSUME THEM.

Langara Run Again

Muwahahahahhahaha I did a Langara run this afternoon again with mah dad. And guess what----I was finally able to beat him!!! Before he was faster than me. But this afternoon I ran like a horse...well, sorta. Hahahahhah. I sprinted at the end and god it felt really great. My dad admitted his utter defeat. Muwahahahah. Victory. Looks like I am not a non-athletic loser after all. I am so tired rite now. I could really use a hot shower. kbai

Creepy Bird

So today when my mom and I were walking on the street this creepy bird with bright red wings followed us for like the whole block. Hmmm. At first I meowed at it and it flew away, but after a few seconds I heard weird sounds like something moving in the grass. When I looked back the sound stopped. I kept on walking and the noise continued on. Finally I saw that bird following me and staring at me. Sneaky bird. It was so creepy. I slowly walked away and this time it just stayed there. So scary~~~~I think I am gonna have a nightmare!!! *Gasp* Oh wait, am I that attractive to birds?!Ooooo, maybe I've got the charm. I.AM.THE.BIRD.CHARMER.

Oh by the way, yesterday was supposed to be the end of the world. But lookie, I AM STILL ALIVE. False prediction trolled people. I knew it was fake!!!

I am so stuffed rite nao

I ate chips, cookies, cherries and strawberries before dinner. For dinner I had shrimps, fish, tofu, chicken strips and blueberry juice. For dessert I had a huge black forest cake. Why stomach. Y U NO CONTROL URSELF? I can't really move right now because I am so full and my tummy ache when I make a dramatic movement. I remember once when I was still in China we went to this restaurant and I had this huge plate of spaghetti then I drank like a gallon of water and it made the spaghetti expand and at the end I barely had the strengh to climb the stairs and my parents dragged me out for a walk and hoped that I would eventully loosen up a bit but I didn't so I took a shower after I got home and everything got better. That was a hard time.

I will never eat so much ever again. Good bye yummy food.

Yeah, I like Photoshop, but I never knew how to make animation before, so when a mod challenged me on the Sale website to make an animated signature, I decided to give it a try. The goal was to get the anime girl in the picture to blink. First I went to Photoshop and edited the image. Then I made a duplicate of it and used the stamp tool to get rid of the person's open eyes and made it shut. Then I saved it and edited in Imageready and used the animation thingy and used the two pictures. I set up the time and clicked play and yessss it worked! I was so happy. WHHHHHHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEH~~~~

Woot! Tomorrow is gonna mark the beginning of a four-day weekend! Man, I am excited already today! We had the dance which was pretty fun. But the best part was actually going outside for some fresh air and sunshine. OMG. Judy rolled down the hill nd it was amazing. Man I really feel ashamed for my flexibility...Maybe I need to work out more. Yep.

I have piano tonight. It's not really a happy event considering I have so much work to do. But then I will get to sleep in tomorrow so everything's gonna be fine. I don't want the four-day weekend to go by so fast. I WANT IT TO LAST. Me attempting to make time stop? Nahhhhh. I will still go with the flow. But just saying.

Poem Book

I must finish my poem book tonight. But heck, I don't think it's gonna be a difficult task. The illustration is no big deal because I can just make them appear in a really short amount of time. I don't need to write anymore poems except the few paragraphs, so that might take 15 minutes to just ponder around. I don't really have the interest to color my poem book, but we will see.

OH NOES I suddenly remembered that I am gonna take TWO book tests tomorrow! And a grammar quiz! And a French quiz! I mean the French quiz is not so hard, but I don't know about the grammar one....ohhhhh this is getting trickier and trickier by the second. I don't always use correct grammar. I've only been here for less than three years but I've done a lot of grammar exercises during the past few years so wish me luck on tomorrow's quiz!

Now, I must finish up my books. My tests are on American Born Chinese and Catching Fire. I've finished American Born Chinese and now I must take a final review at Catching Fire. I read this like what, almost a year ago?! So yeah.....REVIEW TIME~~~

Me Dance & Grammar Test

So today we had DANCE for applied skills! I never expected that to happen.0.0 Anyway, this girl called Zoey taught us all the moves we need to know. Man. I was so clumsy. Maybe it's because of my massive amount of blubber. BURN BLUBBER BURN. The first half of the period my friends and I were at the front but then they switched so we ended up at the back. I couldn't really see anything at the back because I didn't have my glasses on. So I just randomly copied off what other people were doing. Hope those were the right moves...And gosh I still have to memorize them. Oh well :-d

I have done a little bit of hip-hop before so the dance wasn't that hard for me. At least I could still follow the music and move myself around the area. But heck, I seriously need to workout more. That's what my mom usually says. Heheheh.

Oh yeah and btw we had grammar tests for English. I was so mad at myself for the last test because apparently I forgot to do the last two questions which were at the very very back of the sheet! The test was out of 42 and including the ones I forgot to do, I got 36. Four wrong ones and two omitted ones. I should be more careful next time. Nuuuuuuuuuuuuuu~~~~~But during lunch Vivian Chew and I helped out at Mrs. Greskiw's place with her book tests. We sorted out about 75% of the tests for Thursday. Not bad!

Langara Run

This afternoon after piano my dad and I ran a whole loop around the Langara golf course. It was way easier than I thought it would be. Hmmm----perhaps I've increased my blubber capacity during the last few months! Burn blubber burn. However I did drink a can o' soda and milk and a nutella sandwich, so I was really really stuffed and my stomach kinda hurt at the beginning. But at the end everything just turned better and it was a fantastic run. I've tried to run past my dad for a few times but OMG he was just so fast! Or maybe it was just me, who was slow. Mehhhhhhhhhhhh~~~Dopopopopo.

My mom says that I must go for a run in the afternoon every day. I wonder how long I can last. Oh well. BURN BLUBBER BURN~~~

Today is the Big Day

Mannnnnn I am soooooo urk today because tonight I am gonna have a piano recitalllllll. Lol I only have to play one piece though. But then I haven't been to a recital for almost three years now. Nuuuuuuuuuuuuu. I am gonna play Arabesque 1 (opps is that the right way to spell it? Dunno). I also played it four years ago when I took my grade 9 examine in China----so I am not so unfamiliar with it. Oh gosh, I hope I do a good job tonight! Wish me luck! I hope my flats don't hurt my feet tonight. I am not really use to wearing flats, so yeah.
Oh, and I also have to wear a dress...Mimi Gusta Jeans

I.AM.EXHAUSTION (AGAIN).

Yesterday I came back at nine something because my mom took me to the harbour centre lookout. It was an awesome trip and godddd I saw such awesome view. But heck, when I came back, I was soooo tired. Today was pretty much the same. I had theory at 2:00 and after that we went to downtown library and borrowed a lot of books. All of them are related to arts. And then we went to this random mall to look for black flats for my recital tomorrow. Then we went to Pacific centre and shopped for shoes but came back with nothing because none of them caught my eyes. Sigh. So I just dragged my sore body and came back alive. Man~~~I still have to practice piano and stuff. I.AM.EXHAUSTION.AGAIN.

Oh yeah and my theory teacher was like, "Hey are you staying for the summer? Cuz if you are, you should take the exam. You are progressing so fast~~~" -.-

I may not stay here for the entire summer.

Woot Hoot

The knitting trip today was so awesome! It was a bit tiring at first, but when we got to Lonsdale Quay things just got better and better! April, Jessie, Leslie and I bought a large pizza for eight dollars. I love that pizza shop (I had bought pizza from it before). You order a pizza and you just wait for 10 minutes------the owner makes the pizza FRESH! We had two slices each and I also ordered a can of pop. It was such a satisfying meal. Then we decided to venture around and I led the group to this park near by the ocean. It was so fun because there was a little playground filled with weird stuff for us to play with. There were a lot of weird sculptures to climb on. Yessssss. Oh yeah, Carina and I encountered a little dog at the park and it was so freaky. It followed us and barked at us and I was so scared that it might jump up and eat my hand. Anyway it was such a cool day and Mr. Olson we should have more road trips like this one. Hiking is good for us.

MACHOMER WAS SOOOOO AMAZING!!!!!!! The cartoon slideshows were a bit off though----basically all of the characters' faces have been altered. But who cares?! It was a fabulous show! I almost slept at the end but then the actor did some cool voice tricks and that woke me up instantly. A nice treat for a rainy day. <3

I just finished three hours of piano practicing because I have a recital on Sunday and another one on the 28th and two pieces for Buskerfest. I also have this more-than-10-pages of Hungarian something piece and another Chinese music piece for a random competition. But I am not doing that rite now because it's in November and I am not too worried about it. But oh woe! SO MUCH WORK. And great. I HAVE TO PREPARE FOR MY GRADE 10 RCM EXAMINE. Man.

Playland

So today we went to Playland. It wasn't as fun as I expected because we had to do 6 questions outta the 9 on the huge huge worksheet and each question has about 10 smaller questions. It was so annoying!!! Our team basically spent like an hour to finish it. Ugh. We did go on a few rides though. Crazy Beach sucked because when it was finally our turn to go on we had to get off because there were some problem with the machine. -.- Anyway the roller coaster was fun and freaky. I basically just held on to Leslie and screamed on top of my lungs. LOL. I liked the Music Express because I got to squish Vivian and Leslie. Hhahahahahhaa. Then we got cotton candy and sugar highed...right now I am sooooo exhausted. Tomorrow's MacHomer day!

PNENENENENNENE!!!!!!

TOMORROW WE ARE GONNA GO TO PLAYLAND=PNE!!!!!! We so excited~~~~~ It's Monday....tomorrow's Tuesday!!!!!!! Woottttt!!!!! JUNK FOOD AND RIDES. What else can be better? So tomorrow Mimi's bringing money for yum yums and writing utensils for science stuff. No big deal. Leslie picks Mimi and Carina up. Mimi and Carina very thankful and happy. Leslie satisfaction guarateed. Mimi is gonna go on scary rides and be a cool person and look cool and ooze coolness. Yessss. Then Mimi's gonna eat cotton candy and other yumyums and be full and try not to throw up on intense rides. But even if she does Mimi is not gonna care cuz Mimi's gonna there to have a good time.

Can't help it. Mimi gets excited around events like this. Mimi gets hyper and start slapping ppl around her. Yes. She slapped Vivian and Asma. They gave Mimi faces---but Mimi still very HAPPPYYYYYY YAWWWWWW DAWWWWG!!!!!!!!!Can't wait till tomorrow! LOVE U GUYS

Happy Mother's Day!

Alright kids, be sure to give your moms something special today to show how much you love them!!! Things like flowers and chocolate can be quite a treat. Just make sure you don't eat the treats you give them (exactly what I did last year when I gave a box of Purdy's Mother's Day Chocolate to my mom) LOL. I love my mom. She loves me too. And in return for my love she promised not to make any sarcastic jokes today. Hehheheheheh.

Sad Story

This morning I read a really really sad story on one of those Chinese newspapers. It's not a real event but still...sob sob. Anyway it's about a son and a mother. The mother is very very old (like eighty something), and her daughter died. The daughter's husband kicked her (the old mom) out and took all her money and disappeared. The old lady's son took his mother in and he plans to give his mom a good time. However the son's wife dislikes the old lady very much and she just mentally abuses her everyday, and finally, she tells her husband that his mom must move out. The son is very conflicted but has no choice. He loves his mom very much, but he also wants to keep his family together. The mom understands her son's worries and decides to move out immediately. The son finds a nice place for his mom but the old lady thinks about her son everyday 'cuz she is always alone. At the end the son divorces his wife and his family breaks down in hatred. The story's last lines were: He sat down and ate his food, while watching a happy family at the other end of the restaurant. There were a young couple with their little daughter and her granny, and they've all got smiles on their faces. He looked down again, and finished his meal with bitter tears.

Anyway, for PE this morning we played moss ball and I had to sit down for the second round because I was feeling kinda nauseous. But later we played handball and I was able to play for a bit. It was really fun.

For art we basically did free art Friday with watercolor. I haven't learned how to handle it yet, but heck, I can still experiment.

For socials we had the humungo test. It was actually not too bad! However I did make two careless mistakes on the questions 0.0 Hhahahhaha. The past few days I've been (almost) copying down stuff from my textbook and notes. Today I felt very confident before the test and all went well.Phewwwwww. I liked the way Mr. Sale drew his Castle de Sale. LOL. His castle's brattice looked like a strip of bacon.

So Sorry I Have To Write This Today

This blog was supposed to be written yesterday. But I had a bad bad fever yesterday night and went to the emergency section of the children's hospital and we stayed till like 11'o clock. Man I was burning up. My temperature before I had the Tylenol pills was 39.5 Celsius. The doctor says that my fever was caused by viruses.I am staying home today because I am still very sore and I have a severe headache. I can't eat properly because I have a wisdom tooth growing for some reason and my gum hurts on the inside. Ughghhhh. My friend Asma phoned me and told me that the track meet has been moved to the 16th. GOOD. I was soooo worried about the track meet, but since it's been postponed, everything is gonna be fine. Now I have to study for my socials test even though I am still pretty sick, but I think I will come around tomorrow and be ready for school.

My Parents Admit That I Am Indeed a Fat, Non-Athletic Loser

Well, maybe I exaggerated a little, but my performance today at the oval was...well, just go ask my parents.We went there for my track practice (TRACK MEET THURSDAY PPL), and first we did an 800-meter run. It was a pretty normal fast jog---no competition whatsoever. Then we went to the sand pit and practiced long jump. My dad jumped like five meters and I only jumped like three meters and something. My mom said that my legs look so fat and they jiggle when I run...O.o My dad was like "I AM AN OLD MAN (he was just joking. He's like 46 years old...so not really old, eh?) AND I CAN DO BETTER THAN YOU. LOL". Then we did the 100-meter dash and my dad sprinted like a wild horse. I tried to run as fast as I could but my dad was so far ahead...dude I have NO IDEA how he ran so fast. Seriously. I am not really a slow runner, but my dad was incredible. My mom said I looked so chubby and I looked like one of the people from Biggest Loser trying to move their huge body and she also said that I looked like a big fat ball of swinging blubber =.= Unfortunately I am not that fat (wait, AM I?!) Anyway. It.was.hilarious.

I.AM.EXHAUSTION.

Dude!!!! I feel so exhausted today! First I had Sunday School at my church at 11:30 and we left aat 12:30 and went straight to a piano concert in Richmond. The performer was this guy from St. George School and he is in grade eight and he played like 13 pieces for us and it was really incredible, although I found some mistakes he made (such as accidentally going off the note, wrong style for the piece, etc) LOL but I have to admit it was pretty awesome for someone his age to be able to perform SO WELL at a solo concert. He was so coooollll.

The concert lasted about an hour and a half and we went straight to Richmond Centre for my formal gown for an upcoming piano recital. We shopped for like two hours for a dress. Finally we found this dark, dark blue dress that's like all the way to the floor and it looked absolutely classic and beautiful so we bought it. I didn't choose the other dresses because they were either too coloful for a formal recital or too...exposing. Then we went to T&T and bought a bottle of root beer and some mangoes. It was awesome. Then we waited for our bus and finally got home at about eight.

Phewwwwwwwww... I am so tired right now. Oh, I still have to read my science textbook and print out my speech for tomorrow's siege weapon presentation. Better get to work~~~

Okie Done!

I am so happy right now.We are finally finished our socials siege weapon project! Woot! Leslie and I worked on the weapon design while Jessie, April and Vivian worked on the script. High Five everyone! Just to reveal a little secret here...our weapon is based on a trebuchet, but is A GAZILLION TIMES BETTER. The project was really fun since all of us have sinister minds when it comes to a situation like this and heck I think our slogan for the thing is: ~~~~Killing, Just Got Easier.Cool eh? I think that if we put the design into the real thing and use them during the Middle Ages it would probably do a lotta damage. Just saying~~~

Have to practice speech tomorrow at lunch (for the first and final recital, since we couldn't get together during the weekend or anytime else...) Wish us luck! Man am I EXCITED!
