Fantastic Mega Awesomeness

Finally, my goal for grade 8 grade is complete. 'Tis finished. I finally got rid of the blue certificate and switched to a rice-colored one. Yesssss. Oh, and I just watched the two videos Judy posted on her status. Judy, you've scarred me for life. The zombie kittehs were awesome. The moo moo cows....you know what, I don't even know how to describe them. But I sent the links to Carina too so she will be able to enjoy the videos AND be scarred for life.

Sigh~~~my mom made me copy down this Chinese article to help me with my Chinese writing. I am starting to write wrong characters in Chinese. I am so not proud of myself. Before in China my Chinese writing was good, but now I really really suck. It took me several minutes and a billion times of trying to figure out how to write the word "petal". And heck, that article was in TRADITIONAL CHINESE, so my mom made me change it into SIMPLIFIED CHINESE. But that was no big deal. I had tiny difficulty getting through the thing.

Nom.

Quiet Day

It was raining so hard this morning. Well, at least it's stopped now.

Have to go in two minutes to catch the bus to Shaunessey (I am not sure if this is the correct spelling, but oh well) for my theory class. Then it's no.10 to Broadway for my favorite art store, De Serre.

Sigh~~~~

Piano afterward, because we are going to the States tomorrow, and I have to make up for the piano work...

Have fun.

Yush

Oh man I can't believe I've skipped so many summer blogs already! I feel sad for this week. I have to stay all by myself during the day cuz apparently my parents have to work! Today's Friday so my mom can stay at home with me. My mom's getting her break soon because we are going on a big trip but my dad isn't going anywhere because he's already been to that place. Sigh~~~~

You wanna know what I did for the past few days when my parents are not at home during daytime?

-Breakfast (bread with nutella/honey, yogurt, carrots, a scoop of icecream <i stopped that when I finished the chocolate flavoured one. My dad bought strawberry marble which tastes disgusting so yeah>, water.
-TV time: Kid Vs. Kat (it's so awesomeeeeee), Pearlie, Sidekicks (Yush, I like cartoons, you got a problem with dat?!)  My Super Sweet 16, MuchMusic stuff, and yeah. You don't get much in the morning
-Chinese Grade 8 math (i am soooo behind rite nao. Gotta work hard!)
-Theory
-Travel guide of secret destination
-Grammar
-Piano (at least 2HOURS/DAY. AT LEAST..)
-Lunch. Usually dumplings, carrots, spaghetti, toast, ice cream or whatever I feel like eating in the house.

Yep. I sure am one heck of an independent child.

Synergy Party

So today we had the Synergy party. Sadness Carina didn't come with us. Apparently she messed up the time and just didn't show up...sigh~~~I wanted to show her the little island Vivian Leslie and I explored this morning. I mean I've been on the island once. The reason why we went to the island this morning is because Leslie and Vivian had to come to school at 8:30 for yearbook/ traffic issue, so I just went with them. We had about two hours to kill so we just went to the island. The tide was low. I found two shellfish on a rock. There were geese and goslings. So cute <3.

After we had fun at the island we went to shabusen but we didn't stay there. We just explored the neighbourhood for a bit and Leslie and I got a slurpee. They gave us those cool straws with action figures on top...Anyway, afterward we went to Shabusen and started eating. I didn't really enjoy the lunch because our food was mainly sushi and I dislike sushi VERY MUCH and they even ordered those raw fish stuff and they were just GROSS. So it was not really a good meal, but somehow, I got full.

Then we went for bowling. That was really really fun. We played with Alex and we didn't record our marks. We just played for fun, taking turns trying to hit the pins down. Sigh~~~~but that only lasted for an hour. We went for a movie afterward. We had to wait an hour for our movie, Kung Fu Panda 2. Leslie left because she had to get home early, so Alex, his brother, Vivian and I watched the movie. It was in 3D. I've never watched anything in 3D before so it was a new experience. The glasses were kinda annoying because I had to wear the 3D glasses on top of my OWN glasses, so I had to push them up constantly...Oh yeah and we got popcorn and a drink and it cost us almost 12 bucks. I AM NEVER BUYING POPCORN AND A DRINK AT A MOVIE THEATRE AGAIN. But the movie was awesome. I am not revealing any details here. I think you should go watch it for yourself.

And that was the end of our Synergy party...Sigh~~~~<3

I am....FREE?

WOOOLALA today we had our last exam and got our yearbook. And that sorta concluded our year. Thank you guys for the wonderful memories. But heck, I won't miss you guys yet----because GUESS WHAT? There's the Synergy party on MONDAY!!!! And we will still see each other next year! Woot!

So, am I free nao?

NO! I still have piano! And I am going away for the summer to somewhere awesome. I must do some homework on that. Theory classes....0.0But trust me, I will be free soon....WHEN I GET OLDER, I WILL BE STRONGER...THEY WILL CALL ME FREEDOM JUST LIKE A WAVING FLAG.....

I think I might've gotten the lyrics wrong...but you get the idea!

See you guys on Monday!!!

Stanley Cup Afterthoughts

Yesterday we LOST big time to the Boston Bruins. They've got the cup now. But I think they deserved it. They've worked hard to achieve this goal. It was really awesome when they all huddled together at the end and cheered and cried and wooted. I felt great for them. I am not a Canucks fan nor a Bruins fan, so no taking sides here. The crowd still saluted the Canucks. After all, they did get to the final round of the Stanley Cup.

But the downtown riot wasn't really neccessary. I read from one of my friend's blog that nine Bruins fans actually died from the riot. It just outrages me. It's just a GAME! GOSH! My friend Asma said that her older brother went to downtown and watched the game but at the end the place was a mess because people started to burn stuff and breaking into stores and such. My dad's friend said he could see the flames (he lives in North Vancouver). I mean seriously?! This is just ridiculous. I remember meeting an old man in the elevator and he said that he was afraid that the Canucks might not win and that might cause chaos, just like it did in 1994.Geez. IT'S JUST A GAME, PEOPLE! WHY THE HECK DO YOU START A RIOT?!

Yessss Flashmob + Yums Yums

So this afternoon me and my friends and some other Synergy people did the flash mob for the parents tea thing. There were only like 10 people for the flash mob because a lot of other people didn't even bother to show up. WELL TOO BAD FOR YOU GUYS. Because guess what------we got fruit punch, fruits and those yummy sandwiches!Mmmmm. The fruit punch tasted awesome, almost zesty. For the fruits I only took a mandarin orange. But god, the sandwiches were soooooo delicious....they were wraps before but they just cut it into slices. They were so good. I like the orange kind. The sour cream tasted wonderful. Yum.

Oh yeah, before we did the flash mob at 2:00 we had the science final in the morning, and I think I did fine. The questions weren't THAT hard. Yesssss. After that Vivian Chew, Leslie, Carina and I just walked to Oakridge. We planned to walk ALL THE WAY to Queen Elizabeth Park but gave up that idea as soon as we started walking. I did not bring my lunch but my friends were kind enough to share theirs with moi. THANK YOU GUYS <3

Okay...I gotta get back to the hockey game now. Boston scored one goal and Canucks scored nothing so far. Nuuuuu. I really really want the Canucks to win. Yessss.

Imma Study

SSSSOOOOOO GUYS today we had the socials final! Not bad huh? Well I got a pretty satisfying mark. An A. Gabe got the highest mark. I think it was like 68 out of 72 (Mr. Sale took 3 questions off the test). Congrats Gabe! :DDDDDD But~~~Right now I am a bit worried about science. I am not really good at science to be honest with you. And I remember last Ms. Smedley was like, "Last year's exam was too easy so this year we made it harder". She hardly jokes so I am really really scared right now. Luckily the people in our class synergized and came up with study sheets. Thank you everyone! Now that's the power of SYNERGY!!!

Oh yeah btw I got a LEGO starwar watch. It's pretty awesome. I got to put the bracelet part together. They are all made of lego pieces so it's pretty neat. My dad's friend bought it for me. It's like army green but I like the color. Wooolalala.

Not that worried about English because I've already got a pretty decent percent. Math...yeah, okie, sure. I don't want to lose any A's from my regular 7 A's. I wanna get straight A's~~~~~

Nuuuuuuuuu

Gasp! Tomorrow's gonna be the final exam for socials! DUN DUN DUN~~~ I didn't really study THAT hard for it. I need to review the reformation and the geography stuff. Thank you Natasha Vivian Cynthia and other people for the study documents. Yessssss.

I skipped yesterday's blog and perhaps even the day before yesterday's...but the term is over, so there's no need to panic.

Sigh~~~I am really really nervous for my report card. I really do hope I get an A in PE so I can get on the principle's list...

That's all for today. PEACE OUT

DRAAGGGGGOONNNNNNNS Everywhere

Today me and my mom *my mom and I* went to the False Creek area beside Science World to see the Dragon Boat Race. There were so many different teams! All the dragon boats hada little dragon at the front of the boat and a drum at the back. The competitors were of different ages. Some teams were even made of old seniors! They looked really really fit though. First the boats left the dock, then they rowed it to the other end of the racing water, and then that's where the race started. With the loud blow of a horn the people rowed with their mighty arms. People were cheering and screaming. The teams rowed under a steady rhythm and they actually went pretty fast. Those people are beasts~~~We watched several races and switched to different places for different views. At the end we even got to this tiny island and watched the last race there. The last race was the most memorable. All of the racers in the last race were made of women from the Breast Cancer Foundation. They were raising money by doing the dragon boat race. Their spirits were high and the race was incredible. I really enjoyed the dragon boat race, and I think I will see it again next year.

Mah Amazing Year

Sigh~~~~It's the end of the term! No more classes! I think I will miss all my friends and teachers during the summer. You guys were amazing. Thank you. :D

I am really happy today because I found out my marks for French and English. They are still not complete but I've got a high percentage in both of the subjects so it won't matter anyway for the finals. Yesssss. For math we played fun games and got third in the class. Not bad, not bad. It really makes my say "AWWWWW" when people were just hugging and saying goodbye to each other in the hallway after school. We all love each other. The only sad thing is that Natasha's gonna leave us next year...NUUUUUUUU NATASHA Y U LEAVE SYNERGY?! We are such a big family now. I don't want any more people to leave Synergy...

Sigh~~~~~~

INTENSITY

I feel so intense rite nao. I have so much to do! The Go booklet is due on Friday but I am not worried about that, since I am almost done. I finished my Go Extension and I just need to do family reflection. No big deal. Some of my friends really slacked off and they've only gotten to lesson 13 or something like that. Tsk tsk. I've learned my lesson from last term-----so I am trying to avoid as much procrastination as I can.

I am really really nervous for my socials marks because even though my mark is an A rite nao, I still have the final exam and yes the Renaissance project. Apparently when Mr. Sale opened our presentation on the school computer the format was all messed up and stuff. Sigh~~~~I just hope he can open it on his home computer, and hopefully he won't deduct any marks because of that. It's worth like 15% of our term and I am just so scared. I still wanna get 7 A's this term and if I am lucky and get an A in PE, then the principle's list. God help me. Sigh~~~Why? Why? Why?!!!!!!!

Interesting Dinner Conversation

So today my family had dinner with an old lady on the third floor named Esther. She is a really nice person and I like her a lot. She is Jewish and a vegetarian so when we took her to this Chinese restaurant we ordered mostly vegetarian dishes. Esther was really talkative and we talked about worldly topics. She was really into talking about her Jewish background and Muslim terrorists and stuff like that. Those topics really attracted me. She really knows a lot of historical stuff! She has her own opinion to everything. I like having conversation with older people because they tend to know better and have deep philosophy. It's also very interesting to talk to people with different cultural and religious background because you get new info and see how other people think about things. She reminds me of all the Australian and American friends I have back in China. Back then we used to sit in my dad's friend Geoff from Australia's bar and just talk about whatever comes to our mind. Oh yeah, I remember last year we talked to this old grandpa at the bus stop and he told us about his life from his teenage years to his later life and how he traveled to different countries and witnessed wars and stuff. Talking to different people really broadens my knowledge. I think communication is really important, especially between different cultures and such.

Ehhhhhhhh

So this morning we did dissection of a cow's eye. It was pretty interesting. I am not scared of the cow's eye itself (it looked like an abalone and the back of the eye was so pretty). I was just annoyed at the horrible stench. I put on my gloves and dissected the thing with Vivian Chew. Afterwards we cleaned up and I took off my gloves and my hands smell horrible, like preservatives. Ughghgh. I don't think I am gonna eat anything after the dissection. Dinner's ruined tonight. I have absolutely no appetite today!

For socials we just did review. We handed in our project but for some reason the whole format of the powerpoint slideshow was all messed up. We tried to opened it in various ways but it just wouldn't work! Finally Mr. Sale said we can send him the document by email later. THANK YOU MR. SALE!!!

By the way, Fiona, Alex and Austin did a great job on their project. I like the way their voices have been altered. Alex's voice turned squeaky like a chipmunk. Austin's voice sounded the weirdest...so formal and everything. In the video slideshow they also added in funny animations. LOL.  THEY ARE JUST SO GOOD :p

Happy Day

Oooolalalaa it's so sunny outside!!! ME GUSTA. I am also super happy today because I got perfect on my math quiz (duh, ur Asian) and Mr. Sale chose my trivia question!!! Awesome. Now I have EVERYTHING for the Sale website. I can finally relax. But I like the website so much. I am thinking about posting a few more threads before the website shuts down for the end-of-them marking.  During Applied Skills, Alex and I built a creepy woman sculpture using the scarves we've knitted. My scarves made up the woman's face and Alex's made up the Cheshire cat (wow, is that how you spell it?). We got this straw hat and put it on the lady. IT WAS SO SEXY, and a ton of fun.

Good thing that my group finished most of our socials project yesterday, so tonight I only need to add a few more lines and make an ending. I am also super excited for the dissection tomorrow morning. We are gonna dissect a cow's eye. IT'S GONNA BE AWESOME, especially the time is right after breakfast. I am pretty Leslie not gonna freaked out by the eyeball because she's in the dissection club and yeah. Tomorrow's gonna be my first formal dissection (well, I've "dissected" many small creatures, such as bugs before so yeah). I can't wait!

BUSY AS A BEE~~~

OMG! Today is gonna be a really busy day. I have to work on the Renaissance project, read A Wizard of the Earthsea, and practice my French orale for tomorrow's final examine. THERE'S SO MUCH STUFF TO DO! I wonder when I will be free. I am done my scarves so no worries for that. Next week I have to update my Go booklet and put them online so Mr. Olson can mark them. Oh yeah. Next week is gonna be a whole lot more busier because we are gonna prepare for the final examines!!! DUN DUN DUN~~~I hope I survive. I probably will since I've had a lot of practice in China----trust me, it was worse than here. Back in China they would throw out a million tests before the finals just to get you ready...and that was in like grade 4 or 5.

Thoughts

This morning I was thinking about buskerfest and I think it is possible for us Synergies to reach our goal of 6000 bucks, if we each get 100 dollars. 60 people times 100 dollars=6000 dollars! Jennica, Carina and I have already surpassed our goal of 100 dollars/person since we already collected like close to 400 dollars (I think it was 379 dollars something?) So if everyone can just get 100 bucks it would be really nice.

More thoughts coming up: Next year we should donate to another charity like those ones who donate to children under poverty in foreign countries. The money can help them build a school or something like that. This will be more meaningful than the make-a-wish foundation-----we are actually making a difference and giving someone a chance that could change their life forever!!! I am not saying that the Make-A-Wish foundation is pointless...it's just not THAT fair to give DYING children presents instead of giving LIVING children under poverty who actually have a good chance of survival. So yeah.

Oh god, I have to get back to mah Renaissance project nao. I have so much to do...and iz due next Tuesday. Then I gotta study for French because we have an orale exam coming up next Monday and it counts as a final and it's like 20% of our year mark...I AM SCARED 0.0

More Money & Creepy People

Today Jennica, Carina and I only stayed for one hour at the carnival then we left to collect more donation for the make-a-wish foundation thingy. We went to my building first and got a decent amount, but wasn't that much since it was still early and many people were still at work. Then we moved to "the rich building". I think it's the newest building here and it's got fancy chandeliers and stuff so we just hid behind this woman going in the building and got in the building. We went to the top floor and worked our way all the way to the bottom. MAN THOSE PEOPLE ARE RICH. They basically gave us twenty bucks each and we basically collected close to 100 bucks I think. There was a half-drunk man and when he opened the door he was half swinging half sober and he gave us twenty bucks. When we were done with the rich building we moved to the building behind mine...AND BEHOLD, HERE COMES THE SCARY PART:

We went to the top floor and knocked on the first door. At first we thought no one was at home, but an old dude opened the door. He was extremely feeble and had nothing but his underwear and a long pajama-like thing on...I could see his naked chest and belly and yeah...it was a pretty disturbing sight. He was pretty nice and gave us twenty bucks. But when he closed the door his neighbor, this creepy man who recently got fired, told us that the old man smokes weed and is slowly dying of lung cancer T__T Nuuuuuuuu. That was really sad. Then the neighbor offered us green cookies but we said no thanks we had ice cream (that was a lie). Who knows. He might've put poison in those cookies...

Then we went on and collected some more money. The people there didn't give us much because a lot of them are in a "tight money situation". The most scary part was when we got on the 6th floor and knocked on one of the doors and this creepy Asian woman with bulging eyes spazzed "WHAT DO YOU WANT" and we just explained our thing but she yelled "NO! NO!" then shut the door like "BOOM!!!!". She was so rude. I was like, "Oh my, what a rude woman!" Then we heard a noise kinda like a door opening and we thought that the woman was gonna chase after us with a butcher knife so we hid and ran through the fire escape. Then we went to another floor and pressed elevator and ran all the way back to Jennica's place. IT WAS ONE OF THE MOST SCARIEST MOMENT OF MAH LIFE. I seriously thought that the creepy woman was gonna hunt me down and kill me in my sleep. Trust me we are NEVER going back to that building ever again. No one wanted to keep the money we collected from the "haunted building". But at the end Carina took it because she was so nice and brave and we were all scaredy squirrels. Oh well. At least we made like really close to 400 dollars. Not bad. Not bad.

AWWWWWW YEAHHHHHHHHHHH

Guess what! Jennica, Carina and I went and collected donation today!!!!!!!!! I only had five bucks on my pledge sheet so we decided to just ask people for donation door to door. We went to Jennica's building and went from the first floor all the way to the last. We asked for money and offered music (I PLAYED THE CHINESE FLUTE AND GODDDDDD PEOPLE LIKED IT!!!!!) When we got to the seventh floor we ran into Jamie and Jamie went with us and sold origami flowers (god they were so pretty JAMIE UR SO TALENTED). It was awesome!!!!!!! At the end we collected 112 bucks not counting the money Jamie got from her flowers. AWWWWWWW YEAAHAHHHHHHHHH. Tomorrow I think we will skip Carnival and go ask for more money. ME GUSTA. I can just feel the victory of getting money. I LUV YOU PEOPLE OUT THERE WHO DONATED TO US~~~~~THANK YOU~~~~~~~~:DDDDDDD

Mr.Sale Troll

Mr. Sale trolled us today in the computer lab. We were all doing research on the computers for our renaissance project, and then a tiny window popped up and read: message from teacher: TO WRITE WITH A BROKEN PENCIL IS POINTLESS. Aha. Aha. Aha. Very funny Mr. Sale. I could see his mischievous smile behind his monitoring computer screen. Lol. Then he did something on his computer which shut down our computers for a second. That was so scary for a moment because I thought I was gonna lose all the information on my computer. Then another window popped up which showed everything going on each individual computer in the room...O.o Later he sent us more popping window messages and random jokes. Mr. Sale trolled us and it was a good-hearted troll indeed. I could imagine him saying this mischievously: "Smeegle~~~~~"
