I Think I Need a Break

I am soooo tired. All this work for term 2 is making me crazy. Spring break. Yes spring break please come tomorrow so I can stay at home. Of course that's like impossible unless you teachers go on strikes. Then we might get lucky. Hahahah just kidding. So much work to do. Applied Skills don't need to worry no more because it's already done. Yep Mr. Olson I've send you everything I've got. I feel so proud. Must get A's this term in order to stay as an "A-sian". Hahahahah I need a rest right now.

What a Clever Cricket

Today one of my crickets ESCAPED from the jar. It ran all the way to the kitche and hid under the fidge. We didn't even know it was there 'til it chirped. My mom was like, "Mimi is that your cricket?" I was like, "Whaaaaaaat?" I ran all the way to the bathroom and check on the jar. Yep. One was missing. The escaped cricket was still chirping. I could not see it because it was under the fridge. I was like "Man I am gonna catch you" Then it stopped chirping. Awwwwwwwwww! And then I went away and it started chirping again. My dad says that it's never gonna go hungry as long as it's in the kitchen. Smart little creature. My mom says she is really gonna rage if she finds a hole in her tomatoes the next morning. Chilll.....don't EVER underestimate a cricket's intelligence. It's evil. It's GENIUS.

I Got Snow In My Neck

So today I took my mom to this mini art gallery in Richmond. It snowed really hard today so I WAS REALLY COLD AND KINDA WET AS WELL BECAUSE SOME OF THE SNOW GOT INTO MY CLOTHES AND MY NECK WAS LIKE SCREAMING. You know me. I ALWAYS take the bus for trips. But when we got off at Richmond Brighouse we were too lazy to wait for bus 407 so we walked all the way to the gallery instead. The snow was mocking me. But it felt really good to walk on its face. Thank god I wore snow boots from the beginning. So we reached the art gallery. It was really small but it had lots of cool stuff------mostly ceramic artwork. I like their hand-made cards. Especially those funky cat ones. They also displayed some artwork from local high schoolers. Coolala! We stayed at the gallery for approximately 20 minutes and looked at EVERY art pieces. Then it was closing time so we got out. The snow was REALLY, REALLY HEAVY AT THAT TIME BUT I IGNORE ITS MOCKING AND WALKED ON THE STREET LIKE A PROUD PERSON. YES. IT FELT GOOD TO HAVE PRIDE AT YOUR SIDE.

Howl's Moving Castle & Studio Ghibli

Omg the movie Howl's Moving Castle is just GORGEOUS. Mr. Hayao Miyazaki please make more films like this one. Your imagination is just INCREDIBLE. I love your castle. It's just so magical. It's really unique in it's own way...and when I watched your movie I felt as if I was in a different world. Your movie is just that good. I LOVE ALL OF YOUR WORK except the Grave of the Fireflies because 1) too sad 2) too scary------burning human body wrapped in bandage is not really a good idea. Other than that everything is just WONDERFUL. Oh yeah, I haven't watched your newest one yet------Ponyo! It's about a human goldfish. What?! HUMAN GOLDFISH?

Goddess Presentation

Today I did my goddess presentation for English and it was AWESOME. I borrowed the costume from Cynthia (thank you so much Cynthia ur my saviour). I also brought a golden delicious apple (for my goddess story) and a nice head band. Oops------I forgot to tell you about this: my chosen goddess was Eris (she's the brother of Ares). Last night I had practiced my speech for at least ten times so my speech today was pretty fluent. Yessssssss. Mrs. Greskiw told me that I got a really, really good mark. If she was serious, I got 10 out of 10. Yeeeeesssssss! Success for Mido! Now I only have one more project to go: the Brain Project!

Doooooo Dii Daaa

Awwwwwwwww. I didn't get to go to the district science fair this year. Couldn't make it three times in a row. Derrrrrrrp. I wanted to go so BAD. But oh well. I think Ms. Smedley chose the right people to go. Good job Alex Leslie and Cynthia! Good luck! Please make us proud by going to the regional science fair! Next year I will do a better job and choose a topic that's more HUMANE. Hahahahah. I think Ms. Smedley didn't choose me for a reason: Killing crickets is exactly a very nice thing to do. Oh yeah...I still have to feed my crickets...Cya!

Aharraghsuhdasd!

It's almost near the end of the term! I am soooo nervous. I am scared. I don't know what kind of mark I am gonna get. Oh gosh. Please please please don't be worse than last term's. I don't wanna lose an A! SOB! Do you know how PRECIOUS an A is?! Oh gosh. Arghggghhg I am having a nervous breakdown right now. Must...eat...to calm myself down. At least we are not gonna get our report card till the end of spring break. Phew. I don't wanna spend my holidays worrying about my mark...

I Hate Mondays

Don't you just HATE Mondays? They are sooooo annoying! I missed weekends. Today I had to suffer through what Garfield the Cat hates the most. Trust me. I am NOT a morning person. Today we had Art for first block and I was like, still kinda in my old sleeping mode. Then I almost tripped over a glue stick on the floor. And guess what. Leslie dropped that glue stick. So I was like, RAGING. Today's weather was really bad also. I miss my best friend Asma. I think she's coming back tomorrow or on Wednesday. I shall wait patiently for her return.

Me Painting

So today I was suppose to create this landscape drawing/painting for my Art class assignment, right? So I did color formation. Okay first I have this black sheet of paper, then I drew a pencil sketch of the lanscape I wanted to include on my painting (by the way I painted with gouage. Woah, did I spell that right------gouage? Anyway it's a pretty weird name). The most important thing about color formation (phrase------me trying to translate this phrase in Chinese into English) is how you organize the colors. I did a warm-colored painting and boy it looked amazing. It looked so abstract yet so funky at the same time. Gosh I wish I had a picture of that painting. Right now it's sitting on Mr. Renk's desk, along with my other painting of abstract trees in Vector style.

IVE100

So today my mom took me to this IVE (opps is that the right name?) speech at a SAT tutoring center called IVE100. This dude, the speaker, talked for about three hours. He explained about how we should get our SATs done and stuff like that. Then he gave us examples of how people got into good universities in the United States and such. And then he's like this:"Many of you kids in Churchill only care about your marks. But really, you guys should do some volunteering works and join sport teams and blah blah blah." I was like O.o Wow. You've opened my eyes, Mr.Bo.

I know I don't look that way. But oh what the heck. Yep. I love drawing and I just finished two more Mido drawing today. Oh yay comic ftw. I can't draw proper Manga so yeah I am going back to Mido. Nomity Is Nom Nom

Om Nom Nom Nom Nom. I feel sooooooo relaxed today. No school Friday!!! Woot! Gotta watch TV tonight. Got some painting to do for tomorrow. I want to paint a freaky cat but my mom wants flowers. Meeeehehhhh family debate. Walked home with Jenny and a girl named Vicky...Jenny took my umbrella...T_T. Such a normal day. Dad cooks horrible dinner...the ribs look like them've been in the washing machine...Ugh.

Today we did our Religion Project Presentation. Our brochures looked so gorgeous. Jessie dressed up as a witch (our religion was on Wicca, so yeah). It was really cool. Our slides were cool as well. I love them all. Jessie you are such a genius. And April man your speech made me go speechless. Wootttttt!!!!! Yeah!!! I think we are getting an A on this. Apparently most people enjoyed our presentation and Mr. Sale was like "yeah love it". Woot!

Rainy Day

Today was pretty messed up. First we had the CNML math contest. Ugh. I want to go to Enriched because apparently I am kinda fed up in my regular class------if you are in my math class you'd know what I am talking about. So, we had to do 35 questions in 30 minutes. I skipped about 8 questions because I ran out of time. Ugh. So stupid. Could've just randomly filled in the blanks. However I still hope that I am gonna make it into the enriched. There's still the Gauss. Yes. Gauss is pretty easy. Yep. And then during my math class we had a math quiz. I got a C+. Actually, my teacher changed it into an A because the person who marked my test was so messed-up as well. So that wasn't too bad. French...normal. People still love me there. English I got 32/37. So messed up. I was so sad but then it's still an A. So yeah. Jenny walked me home and we talked about derpy stuff and how my crickets killed their own friends. It was a nice and rainy day.

Woah 'O.o Sweat~~~

This afternoon I observed my crickets for 15 minutes straight and saw something pretty...well, you will see...

Yes the crickets were killing each other and eating their comrades.

I am not lying. They were really doing it. You want to get to all the glory details?

So, this fat cricket was upside down for some reason and it couldn't get up. So it was struggling and struggling and struggling. Another cricket came and began biting its throat. The injured cricket struggling more but the stronger cricket just kept on biting. Finally the injured cricket was DEAD. So, the other cricket started to eat the carcass. It was chewing the dead cricket's head. Then another cricket came and began biting the dead cricket's fat leg. Then it tore the leg apart from the body and ate the whole thing like a bunny eating a carrot (yeah, you get the point). Then more crickets came and feasted on the dead cricket. I shook the container so they all went away except the dead one (well, maybe it's because it was dead?!). I examined the carcass and it was pretty messed-up. Its gut was leaking out from yeah...you know where it is. Anyway, it was pretty gruesome...but you just have to get use to it for a while...like MEE.

Yessssss! Finallllly!!!

Yeeseessss. Jessie, April and I are finally done our religion project. Way to go everyone! Woot! Our brochures are FANTASTIC. YES. THEY ARE ALL COLORED. Looks like all of our hard work is finally getting paid off! Our slideshow looks amazing as well. Jessie did so many animations! Yep. Just love them. And then April and Jessie worked on the speech and it was filled with humor. Hahhahahaha. You guys will see our awesome presentation on Wednesday. Woot!And now....some time for MangaFox and Memebase...

Sob

Oh no. Leslie's moving. So sad. Now I will be so lonely and everything. She's sooo lucky. She can do whatever she wants with her wall. But in my apartment, I can't nail my paintings on the wall. I can't even graffiti on my wall. Meh. Oh Leslie. We will miss you. But then you will still be in this school...so yeah, I can still bug you.

Brochure

So today I was working on my socials studies brochure. Jessie and April worked on the slide show thingy. I did the brochure in CorelDraw 12 and used Photoshop occasionally for some pictures. Yep. The brochure thing turned out to be really pretty. But then when I printed it it went wrong. Some of the text got covered up by the pictures for some reason. So I went back and corrected it. But then it stil wouldn't work. So I spent about an hour editing my work and wasted four sheets of paper and a whole lotta ink. Umgsahfausfhuashufashdhasd.........

The Blog I Was Suppose to Write Yesterday But Then I Fell Asleep

Yesterday was the king of hearts day. Hhahahahaha. More like king of kidneys day. Why? Please for some reason I got two hearts so I wrote funny names on them and put them into my pockets------right beside my kidneys. The two names were Grusuella Penguinios and Mido. So I gave the Grusuella Penguinios kidney to Alex and Mido to Tony. Ahahahahahahahah. I really wanted the pins so I could poke someone with it. But then I didn't get any. You know what------Valentine is just a rainy day for us singles. I feel bad now...ouch headache.

Tired

I feel really tired right now....owwwww the fatigue. I don't know why. Maybe it's all the stress from last week and the science fair. And I also feel extremely hungry and full at this moment, which is pretty odd. So I was like, stuffing myself with lots and lots of yummy food. Yes taro dessert can be very delicious. Chipppppppssssssss Mmmmmmmmmmm. And the fresh grapes. Yes. Yogurt. yeeeeeeeeeeeesssss mushroom soup. Nomnomnom. And that concludes my day....

I Don't Get It

I don't understand. People think that my science project is inhumane. So what? So I killed a few crickets....heheh actually 33 crickets. But for the sake of science! Today I had to speak up in front of everyone in the class about my science project and I just said "so in my experiment I ELIMINATED crickets', and then lots of people were like *GASP*, and then massive negative comments popped out. People were like "OMG that's so horrible!" "It's wrong! What happens if you are a little human and there are giants threatening your life and blah and blah blah blah"...Seriously. It was PATHETIC. It's suppose to be a SCIENCE PROJECT. Duh.

Proud

Today I feel pretty proud for myself. I've got a cool-looking display for my science project and live samples to show the audience. When I came into the lab at lunch, three IB guys were gathered around my project, commenting, fussing over the crickets. They were very curious. Once they learned that I DID the project, they were SHOCKED. Yes. I am no normal girls. I love experimenting with bugs. Hahrhahrahra. I've been interested in bugs since....well, I don't remember. Anyway, crickets, grasshoppers, praying mantis, butterflies, ladybugs, caterpillas.....piece o' cake!

Yay Fun

Today I did a little performance for my friends at the church. They had a Chinese New Year party today and I prepared  a few Chinese piano pieces and of course, my magic gourd flute. My piano pieces are famous Chinese songs and my friends all know how to sing them. Yep. My talent came to use today! We were singing and eating and having fun and it was really awesome. I think I really shunned them with my magic flute. Yes Mr. Olson you know what I am talking about...I've shown you a picture of the flute before. When there was no one up stage to perform for us (it was kinda like a mini talent show) I would jump up and give them another cool piano piece. Yes. I am glad that I learned piano and that cool Chinese flute. I had fun today and it was an awesome experience!

To Be Honest, I AM SCARED

I am very worried about the science fair project. I am not really concerned about the due date because I've got my schedule planned out. What I really worry about is...well, people's opinion about my project. I am afraid that people might think my project is inhumane and everything. When I told one of my friends about my project she's like, "OMG stop, stop telling me this horrible thing!" So yeah, I am very VERY worried about my project. I know I like it, but I am not sure if other people will like it. I really really want to get into the district science fair like I did before two years in a row, and hopefully the regional science fair. But since my project is about organic insecticide on crickets...well, I don't know...but I am very worried...almost scared...

Leftovers

Sigh...today we have to eat leftovers from yesterday's Chinese New Year dinner. Sighhhhhhhhhh. I hate the fish. Very odd heh? Considering that I was from Hainan------a little island just south of China.Anyway. Enough about the fish...We still have the soup left. It's not bad soup and I think I am gonna put some noodles in it. Yummy yummy mushroom soup! And there's the spicy chicken thingy...Oh yeah I almost finished it yesterday. So we are going to have a leftover feast tonight :O

Happy Chinese New Year's Eve!

So tonight is the Chinese New Year's Eve. My family invited two friends over for dinner. No, we did NOT eat dogs. Hahahahaha very funny. We had fish, lamp chops, chicken and something else...too many to mention.Yes, tonnes of snacks! That's one thing I like about Chinese New Year------you get yummy food. Before dinner I did a little music performance for the guests. I played some famous Chinese songs on the piano and the flute (it's a special Chinese flute, with a gourd on top and three bamboo tubes at the bottom). They were very delighted. The dinner was awesome too. We stuffed ourselves with yummy food and for dessert we had this rice cake thingy. Yep. Very oily and sweet. I was only allowed one piece because if I eat too many pieces I might get sick. Hahahaa. Overall it was fabulous. I had lots of fun and lots of yummy food. Yayyyyyyyyyy.

A Busy Week

Arggggggghghhhhhghhghghghghghhggg!!!!!!!! This is gonna be such a BUSY week! We've got the science test tomorrow (freaked out '-.-), the socials studies test on Friday (double freaked out ''-....-) and the science fair project (ughghghghghg can't take the pressure no'more O...o) And tonnes of homework.
