My First Piano Class with My New Piano Teacher

So I am preparing for the RCM examine (grade 10!) and I've got this new teacher!!!!And she introduced me to grade 10 (for the piano examine)! OMG the pieces I am suppose to play is soooo easy (compared to the ones I had in China)!!!! The scales were confusing since it's different from the ones I had in China. But the studies------heck they are just...well, let's say that the piece I played in China for level 9 is actually a level 11/12 here! Wow le shock!!!I chose Arabesque (god I can't spell this) by Debussy (know his name in Chinese, but not sure how to spell it properly in English. I think it's the right one). Anyway I played that for grade 9 examine in China and now I am playing it again for grade 10 here (muwahahahahahaha). I think I will take the examine perhaps ...in January. Yep.

El lla pasa ase?!!!!!!!

Please ignore the title. It's just some random stuff I made up...so don't bother searching it up on Google Translate because you will probably get nowhere. Wait. I just went on Google Translate and the stuff means "The call goes grabs" in Spanish 0.o Anyway, today I feel sooooo...Well, I don't feel anything at all. It's been a pretty ordinary day. Nothing exciting happened except that I stepped on a cookie and had to clean up the carpet with our yellow bee-shaped vacuum. Yep. I watched a freaky movie today called The House Sitter (I am not really sure if I remember the name right. Oh well). Do you know if you shoot a cat it would end up like a raw sausage that just exploded? Well you know now (I know you can't get that freaky image outta your mind now..Muwahahahaha). Then I just ate instant noodle because I was home alone and too lazy to cook anything else. The instant noodle tasted salty (for the soup base) and god that was the worse thing I've ever tasted. I played piano during the whole afternoon and my fingers popped. Now I am in front of my new computer staring at you.

OMG Shitake Mushrooms

Omg I just love Shitake mushrooms! They taste so rich and creamy and slippery (eh?)...it's just like heaven. HEAVEN, Ya hear that? HEAVEN! It's one of my favorite mushrooms. I hate portobello now. It taste so bad. It's like a huge mushroom that tastes like mud. Anyway it's nothing compared to the Shitakes. You know me...I am a mushroom lover (I am practically addicted to them). I know what's out there. There's also this kind of mushroom (I don't know its name in English) and it taste like abalone(MMMMMMM yummy). Anyway don't try the white mushrooms unless you fry them, 'cause they taste like hell when you boil them.Straw mushrooms are coolios.

wow...so what are we doing for Synergy party?

I am confused. The grade 9 Synerdies are sending us mails about our future Synergy party for this year. Forget about the laser tag event------the time is just untimely (I mean it's like midnight till morning). I really wanna go camping but many people are having their doubts about this suggestion. Reason------we have a lot of planning to do for camping and it would take a looooong time and blah blah blah. I am not really sure what we should do now. PNE...forget about that one as well, because I think we ARE going there like in May or something (not for the Synergy party). Maybe we should go hiking and embrace the wild? I don't know...BBQ? Well...I am not really sure. I wanna do something fun for the party. We did movie last time and I WANNA TRY SOMETHING NEW THIS TIME! No more movies please. Kayaking? Fishing (just joking hahaha you need to get license)? Let us go to China for the party! (more trolling + kidding). Oh god we really really need to SYNERGIZE for this in order to come with fantastic ideas...

And We are Still Not Done

So today I went over to Leslie's house again for our unfinished hydraulic project. She got the drill and the sandpaper we needed------it was great. We drilled holes for our wood pieces and nailed them into their correct places. LOL NOMNOMNOMNOMOM. One wood piece broke in half when we tried to nail it on the board. We had to make a new one and drill it all over again. When it was finished the whole structure looked great. However we still need to paint it. I guess we will have to do that next week, considering today the structure was totally soaked with water------our tube leaked and we still have to patch it up with tape. Mwuahahahaha...-.- Anyway our project is almost finished. Most of the parts are made of wood. I can't wait for us to paint it.

Tik Tok Goes the Sweet Potatoes

Mmmm. Freshly baked sweet potatoes. Y U SO YUMMY?! Anyway my mom's baking sweet potatoes right now (wrapped with foil) in the oven and the timer is going like, "tik tok tik tok". Man this reminds me of one of Ke$ha's song------Tik Tok! The smell of the sweet potatoes is just delicious. It's like heaven. The best part about baked sweet potatoes is that they ooze sweet syrup after they're baked------sticky, brownish, gooey, sweet syrup. There's not much though. The sweet potatoes themselves taste pretty good if you take your time and just don't thrown the whole thing into your mouth (seriously, you can get injured, and everybody's gonna laugh at you if you do that). Omnomnomnomnom I crave them...

I Went to Delta Today to Leslie's House

Today I went to Leslie' new house in Delta to do our hydraulic project. Leslie's got a lot of stuff we need: wood, saw, glue, nails, nuts, and some other mechanic stuff. We've got a nice design for our hydraulic project. So this morning I packed my lunch and went on bus 301 with my mom. It took us about 20 minutes to get from Brighouse to Leslie' house. She's got this gigantic garage for us to work on our project. We sawed wood------and god it was HARD! Especially when we are just sawwing thin strips of wood pieces off. Sometimes the wood just breaks and leaves a ragged edge. I think we will just fix that with sandpaper on Sunday. We are not done our project today. We still need to drill our wood and connect them and paint the whole thing. I am excited. I think our project is gonna be really successful.

So, Here I am Once Again

Depression hurts. My life is a mess. An invisible knife stabbed me. Loneliness is drilling a hole inside my soul. I feel lost...I am slowly going insane...My consciousness is being swallowed up by a gaping abyss------God help me.

Okay enough of the sad poem! But what I am saying is kinda real. Mwuahahahhahahha. *sob**sniffle* Oh god let me break free of this virtual cage...Lemme fly free like a high pigeon------Lemme embrace the world with my own arms, my own flesh and bones...Let me go wild...

Having Fun with Oil Pastel

So today I made a painting with oil pastel. It's an abstract painting of a martini glass, a regular wine glass, a bottle of champagne and high heels. I expected the oil pastel painting to be really messy, but at the end it actually looked really neat and tidy and fantastic. Man I wish I can post a picture here but my camera is not working. I still need to spray it so that it stays in its place and the pastel doesn't get smudged. I am hanging it on my easel so nobody touches it. My mom touched it and the painting didn't get smudged. I was awed. This is really fine. I hated oil pastel before this painting, but now I think this media is very interesting.

Yes I Feel ______

Awwwwwwwww. Another forever alone day. Tomorrow's gonna be Wednesday and it's gonna be the same as well. I want Friday to come. Then me and Leslie and go shop for our hydraulic project together. YAYYYYYY. I am gonna have a chance to see her house in Delta which is gonna be exciting. Then I am gonna make a mess in her house (hahahhaha just kidding Leslie). I want excitement. Staying home all by myself isn't exactly what you call "fun stuff". I mean, I can still knit. But how many days can I stay like this and not go INSANE?!

Monday, March 21, 2011

So Here I am. Home Alone

Staying home all by myself is kinda fun. I mean I get free time to draw. No computer though. mehehehehhehehe. I have the piano so it's like another friend. The TV is my buddy. My yarn balls are my comrades. Food is my soul. I have a bed. A washrooom and everything I need. You people might think I am lonely but to be honest with you I am not. I feel awesome.

I read manga and ate and played piano. Then I watched TV and did some random Chinese math and read a Chinese book and slept. Wait actually I didn't sleep. I just slunped on the couch and ate potato chips while watching SpongeBob. I like SpongeBob.

I have the hydraulic project and a piece of painting waiting for me to finish.

Hhahhahahhahhah Muahhaauhauhuaha I think I am slowly going insane.

It's Just Me and My Scarf

I ran outta yarn today. So I had to blend in another shade of blue yarn. My scarf is getting longer now. It's still pretty wide. But I like wide scarves. I've decided to donate this blue one as well. A gift to people in need. I also bought some more purple yarn from a craft shop near our building. They were having a sale because they are gonna move soon. I also bought 8 rolls of red cotton yarn. They are pretty good. Small rolls though. But they are cotton. And cotton feels nice. I think I am gonna knit a red scarf for my mom with these red yarn. Yes....

My hands kinda hurt from knitting all day. But I really like knitting now. I think it's a wonderful skill to wield. You know, knitting. My mom knew how to knit but she forgot. Now all she does is painting and doing artwork. Meh.

I am gonna knit my second scarf pretty soon. I think I can end my first scarf on Tuesday and hopefully finish my second scarf and even start my third scarf by the end of spring break. Wish me luck!

Ow My Back Hurts-----My Body Too...

I had PE on Thursday and it left my back, my side and my legs hurting (from volleyball). My body is still aching right now and owwwwwwww I really hate it. I can't bend down because my muscles would give me that tearing sensation. I knitted for most of the day and my shoulders hurt so much. My wrists hurt from playing the piano for three hours straight (with no rest). I am sad. I am suppose to be enjoying my free time right now. But...

Yay Spring Break

Woohoo spring break is starting already! Man I am sooooo excited. I mean------two weeks of free time!!! I can snooze, eat, and go to random parks! I am just too thrilled to write this blog right now. No school for half-a-month...this is like heaven. Please don't get this wrong------I don't hate school, but I do need some time to rest, and by time, I mean a BIG VACATION. And this dream came true today!

But...

I still need to do my hydraulic project for science, prepare my book talk for English, do another painting and practice piano for level 10.

So this spring break I am gonna be KINDA busy. But I will still have time to have fun with my family and friends. Don't wanna slack off too much!

Mehhhhh

So today we got our report cards back. I am not all thrilled about mine because I already know what I was gonna get. Same as last time: 7 A's and 1 B for PE. No excitement. I am fine with it. I mean it's not like I'm sad or anything. My parents were like, "mehhhhhhh'. They are happy, but not surprised. So overall it was a good mark. Man I was that close to the principle's list. It's ALWAYS PE that screws it up. I shall work harder this term and hopefully get straight A's. Omnomnomnomnomnom but today I am happy :D

Mac & Cheese?

Today my dad bought me two boxes of mac & cheese from Pizzahut. Man I hate mac & cheese! It always taste so cheesy. I hate cheesy stuff. I think I am allergic to them. Anyway whenever I have too much cheesy food my nose just goes itchy and my stomach just growls. Ewwwww. But hey it's my dinner for today. So sad.....I had to swallow the cheesy noodle thing. The only good things were the chicken strips. But there were like, only six of them on each tray of mac.

I only finished half of the mac & cheese. Then I gave the rest to my dad. Don't worry he doesn't mind. I give him left overs all the time (my left-overs that is). I just had some green tea and it tasted refreshing. It really helps getting rid of that cheesy taste.

I Bought a Piano Today

So today my parents and I went to Tom Lee and bought a brand new Yamaha piano. Its color is not exactly the best one: it's like really shiny red wood. But the keys sound better than those black piano. Of course we didn't buy a U1 which is a 48.inch. We bought a 47 but that doesn't make much of a difference. I only have level 10 to go considering I already finished level 9 when I was ten years old back in China. The only reason why I didn't finish level 10 in China is because in 2008 I was supposed to have the test in August but our plane to Canada was like, scheduled in July. So I practiced for a few months for nothing. Oh well. But now I am picking up piano again and trust me I AM NOT THAT BAD. I can actually play really well. I hope I will pass the piano test for level 10.

Japanese Exchange Students

Today we had a lot of Japanese Exchange students visitng!!! They started to show up around third period. When I saw a girl in uniform at first I thought she was just wearing a cosplay or something. But then I saw ANOTHER GIRL. WITH THE IDENTICAL UNIFORM. So I was like, wait, that can't be a cosplay party. Then I saw more girls with uniforms-----sailor uniforms with a white tie thingy. And they were all speaking Japanese. Then I was like, ohhhhhhh so they are exchange students! After school I saw all of the students coming out of the school and they took a picture together in front of our school and went on the school bus. Both girls and guys were in uniform. The guys were in this kind of uniform with buttons. OMG they all look like those students in Japanese mangas! LOL. IT WAS SO COOL. JAPANESE PEOPLE ARE SOO COOL.It's nice to see them!

Fun Potato Soup

So today I made a pot of potato soup for fun. I was hungry so I was like, "ohhhhh the potatoes look so yummy". My mom was like,"Go eat them if you want." So I did. However my mom would not let me fry potato chips so I decided to make potato soup------something I've never tried before. I prepared chicken broth, milk, butter, salt & pepper, water and of course, potatoes. First I boiled the potatoes till they were soft and then I mashed them. Then I added in broth and milk and the seasonings and stirred. It smelled really weird like mashed potatoes....but different. When it was ready I poured the soup out and it was so thick. It was TOO thick. It was as thick as mashed potatoes...but I ate it anyway! It tasted like potatoes with milk and broth and salt and pepper...hahahahahahah. It was a really fun activity to do during the weekends!

Awesome

This morning I felt so happy for no reason. Heh. I guess that's just the way I am! Anyway I AM SO RELIEVED. Yesterday I had four epic tests. Well one of them was fake------the SS test. The science test was easier than I thought. The PE test was okayish...and Alliance Fracais was so easy!!!!!! Oh man I am so gonna relax today. But I still need to visit DeSerre again to buy some more art supplies because my mom is starting sketching(for like, sculptures) again so we need to buy the spray that will like not make the pencil marking smudge on the drawing. And then I have to visit a piano teacher because I am aiming for level 10 in piano (I got level 9 when I was 10 back in China). Today is not gonna be a really busy day. Hey. I seem to be enjoying today!

The Japanese Disaster

This morning I just heard that there was an epic tsunami and earthquake in Japan. OMG. I went on the news and they say that thousands of people died and hundreds of bodies were washed up on the shore. We actually watched a short footage on this. This is just sooo tragic! Why are there so many natural disasters happening around the world these days!Well the thing is, there is also a nuclear plant at the area which the earthquake affected so it might have a leakage...I am so worried right now. I feel so sorry for the victims...RIP for all the deads and good luck to those of you who survived the disaster and hopefully you guys can recover...oh my god this is terrible...

Crispy Crunch Chocolate Milk Shake

Omg I just love crispy crunch chocolate milkshake! It taste so amazing...it's kinda like chocolate milk, but BETTER. It's got that smooth and creamy taste and it comes in a nice bottle that's just the right size for it. I just drank one at lunch today and it was so fulfilling. It's wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy better than bubble tea. It's like a little corner of heaven created with chocolate. Mmmmm. I just love its delicious taste. It's soooo good. You can't miss it! You MUST try it. Your head will explode and you will go insane. Yes. The crispy crunch chocolate milkshake is just that powerful and overwhelming.

Yarn------Y U Failing Me?!

Knitting is fun. At least for a while. I mean, I am not saying it's not fun now. It's just a bit frustrating. I've knitted a really wide scarf and the length of it------well let's just say 5 centimeters. Not very impressive. The truth is, I had to start all over like at least ten times already because I accidentally pulled out a thread and the whole thing just went dead. So yeah...Must work harder in order to get better knitting skills. I was le shocked when I heard that we have to do five scarves in a MONTH. A MONTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I AM GONNA DIE. Maybe not. Who knows?

A Spooky Tale of the Shanghai Piano Shop

It disappeared. So sudden. Without any warning. It was just gone.

So today we wanted to go to this piano shop called Shanghai Piano Shop, right (yes to buy a piano)? But then when we got there it was GONE. There were TWO locations: one on Fraser Street and one in Richmond. Well first we went to the Fraser one but then we couldn't find it. When we FINALLY found the right address we saw nothing but a bubble tea shop. And god that bubble tea shop looked rather old, like it has been there for quite a while. So we got pwned. Then we went to the Richmond one and we found the right address but we saw nothing but a FLOORING SHOP. YEAH. JUST LIKE THAT. I WAS OUT OF MY MIND. MAN IT WAS JUST TOO DEPRESSING. WE WENT TO BOTH LOCATIONS, WASTED A LOT OF BUS TICKETS, LOST SOME CALORIES AND GOT NOTHING IN RETURN. WHAT A HAPPY ENDING....

I Had To Clean My Crickets' Container This Morning After Breakfast

My crickets' container had gotten really dirty because I never cleaned it. So this morning after breakfast I decided to clean it. It really stank. Ewwwwwww. So first I got this glass container (like the one I gave to Mr. Olson) and put all the LIVE crickets in it (there were 11 of them I think the rest either DIED/GIVEN AWAY/ RAN AWAY). Then I dumped everything else into a bag and omg it smelled really bad. It was filled with cricket poo dead carcasses and some other stuff I don't wanna mention here. The water tissue broke into pieces and got brownish stain on it so it actually looked like mud. I was surprised when my crickets actually LIKED this kinda environment (they were kinda annoyed when I got them into a clean container). So I washed the container by pouring hot water on it and flushed everything in the toilet. It was absolutely DISGUSTING but kinda fun. It got really clean and neat so I wiped it dry with a paper towel. Everything was nice. Then I wiped the cardboard divider clean and put it in the container and secured it into its place. Then I made this little foil container and put a soaked paper towel into it as the crickets' drinking water. Then I put some cricket feed into one section of the container and a slide of golden delicious apple into the other section. When all of these were finished I put all the crickets back. They were kinda scared at first because it was like a "new" environment for them but after a while they just got used to it and began chirping again. REALLY LOUD. I think they like their clean container. This is the first time for me to feed them apple but I think it works because I've seen one of my friends feeding apple to her crickets and they actually ate it like a lot. I plan to clean their container one every two weeks to keep them healthy and chirping.:P

De Serre

So today my mom took me to De Serre------one of our favorite art store to get some supplies for acrylic painting. I kinda ran out of titanium white and lemon yellow so I need some more. I am giving away a painting as a gift for someone so I need enough paint for a medium-size canvas. I bought another box of 18-color acrylic paint by Marie's! Man I never thought I would see that brand here, because it's kinda like a Chinese brand (since 1919)! Most of my water color and gouage are from Marie's and they are pretty good. I wanted to buy a bigger and thinner canvas but then my mom told me to use the thick medium-sized canvas from our house (we had two left) so that we don't need to frame it (if I paint on the thinner one I would need to frame it). So at the end we bought the box of paint and two extra tubes of titanium white and lemon yellow. I was really happy :P

I Am Happy

Oh God I am sooooo happy today. So far I've confirmed seven A's I think. Just one more to go...PE! But then I am not so sure about PE...so yeah. I was so nervous this afternoon for my English mark because I didn't do very well at the beginning of the term. But then when I checked it was 88.something percent! Before I had 78 percent! Woohoo! I am pro! That's an A for English!I like my improvement. Yesssss. FINALLY! Now I can sleep comfortably at night and not worry about my marks for term 2 anymore. Peace and quiet. Yep. Peace out! I feel so awesome and incredible that I WANNA BURST INTO STARS!

Ow My Foot

So today we had PE and we had to run three laps. But then after one lap one of my feet started to hurt really bad so I had to walk the second lap. I didn't do the third lap because it was just too much. I don't why my foot hurt. Maybe I pulled a tendon. I was't able to do skipping so I stayed in the weight-room with Leslie. Dddududahsdusahd. It really sucks when your foot/feet hurt. I have to more careful next time when doing sports/running.

Actually this is suppose to be T3 B2

Wow. I can't believe it's almost the end of term 2. Wow. Time went by soooo fast. I am growing old. I WISH I would get straight A's this term. But then PE always screws it up. Argghghhghghghghgh PE why do you hate me so much? Anyway, I THINK I am gonna get an A for English. Already confirmed for math, socials, AP and  science. What about Art? Mehhhhh, I am not really sure. I KINDA derpped off a little bit. But it's fine, i think. French...Yeah I think it's fine. What else...oh yeah that's about it. Eight subjects right? I am soooo worried right now. Arrghghghg feel the stress! The pain is unforgivable. Oh yeah another cricket escaped. I think that was not really relevant. Must...get...A's...in...order...to...become...a...proper..."A"sian.
