Lunch

My daily lunch: 2 buns, 1 cup o' yogurt, 1 banana, water

Afternoon snack: mushroom cream soup, 2 mini-pizzas

Ironic, isn't it? I know it's sorta suppose to be the other way around...but this is the only way I can eat stuff between tutoring. Sigh...

Well, at least the winter break will be over anyways. Then everything can go back to normal! I won't have to have a messed-up diet anymore!

Almost School Time

Ah...just a couple more days and the winter break will be over! And also on Sunday it will be the first day of 2012! Scared. Well anyways, this year has been one of the most fun years of my life. Went to Europe. Got Principal's List. Grew taller. Went to debate tournaments. Not bad for one year. Oui oui. Let's see...what should I do for 2012? Ah, there's just more planning to do. New challenges for the new year!

Food Is Good

Today my dad and I went grocery shopping and I bought some of my favorite food. I bought two cans of mushroom soup (one wild and one golden), yogurt, mandarin oranges, bananas and mini-pizzas. Oh the mini-pizzas. I ate two right after I got home. I used to eat them everyday when I was in elementary school. Hhahahha. Oh, and I was trying to find this really yummy quasidilla thing I used to eat at Safeway, but sadly they don't sell it anymore. It's called Lean Stuff and it's really yummy with grilled chicken, black beans, pepper and cheese stuffing. Yum. How I miss my yummy food!

Sickness

Darn it. My cold just got worse. ME NO GUSTA. And I have seven hours of tutoring to do for today. Lucky me. Everything just suck right now. I don't get good sleep at night because I have trouble breathing with stuffed nose. Ugh. WHEN IS THIS SICKNESS GOING AWAY?! To make matters worse, my mom caught my cold as well :(

Pomegranate Explosion

I was trying to split open a pomegranate when the incident happened. BOOM. POMEGRANATE JUICE EVERYWHERE. RED JUICE STAINING CARPET MY BED MY PILLOW AND EVERYTHING. It was a disaster. I spent like an hour cleaning up the stains. The thing is, when I scrubbed soap on the stain, it turned from red to blue because of PH chemical reaction. Sigh. I had to scrub them so hard to reduce the stain. I tore down my pillow cover and my blanket cover, and then washed them for a long while. Good thing these things didn't get much stain on them. Most stain ended up on the carpet. Ugh. Ugh. Ugh. Do you know that pomegranate juice is soooo hard to wash away? Well...here's a good lesson for you----next time you eat a pomegranate, don't try to split it in half using brutal force. :/

Ugh

Looks like my sore throat isn't going away for a while. Again, that sucks. Well, today I had to go back tutoring for 5 hours/ day and the sore throat didn't help me much. I spoke to my students in this freaky raspy voice...but surprisingly they were not too bothered by it. One of my student was really sweet and she brought me a glass of water. Oui oui.

I try to eat stuff. But again, most food just irritate my throat and make it worse. The bad thing is when my throat gets sick, my nose gets sicks too. I mean, I love the winter holidays-----but I certainly do NOT like winter sickness!

Sunday, December 25, 2011

NOOOOOOOO

It's Christmas and my throat just got worse. I can barely speak, and my throat makes annoying hissing sound when I try to speak. This sucks! I can't eat most of the yummy stuff because they will just irritate my throat more. Ugh. Now I need to drink lots of water to help soothe my throat. I hope my throat gets better by tomorrow, because tomorrow I have tutoring to do and it would be bad if I can't speak. Ugh. I hate sore throat.

Saturday, December 24, 2011

Christmas....sore throat?!

I can't believe it! I have a sore throat right now! And it's Christmas Eve tonight! Ugh this sucks. My sore throat can possibly lead to fever, you know. I am not sure how I got the sore throat. It's either from those two really oily and high-calory egg muffins I ate yesterday or from the cold weather. Sigh...I just hope things don't get worse. Right now I am gonna drink a lot of water to help soothe my sore throat. Oui oui.

Break

I am getting a break! This Saturday and Sunday I don't have tutoring so I can have some free time for Christmas! I get to sleep in, paint and visit my friends! So looking forward to that. Right now I am watching Transformers 3 online and eating grapes. It's time I get some relaxation! I've waited so long for this! Today's blog is gonna be a bit short because I wanna enjoy my movie >:3

Horray

We've reached our company goal of $300.00! In fact, we even went beyond the goal! Total= $374.81~~ Today we made over 100 dollars by selling felt stuff, starry wishing jars, greeting cards and toques! Yaaahahhhhha~~~~ Specials thanks to everyone in the company! Thank you Leslie for the yummy baked goods; Celinna for the cute toques and felt stuff; Carina and Jennica for chocolate cake and being such awesome salespeople! We couldn't have done it without you guys! This is beautiful.

Starry Wishing Jar

I am making some starry wishing jars right now! I got eight different-sized jars with cork top. I am folding colorful ribbons into stars and putting them in the jars. Then I am gonna paint them with snowy scenes, snowmen, Santa, etc. Then we are gonna sell them tomorrow and make some moar money! Even my mom is complimenting me on how crafty I've been! Yay. She's always known me as the clumsy one. But nao I is crafty. Horrrayayayyayaya.

Folding the stars is kinda tiring and sometimes it hurts because the stars' pointy ends stab my fingers. But it's worth it. Hheheheheheh.

So Proud

I've made over 20 felt stuff! Just need to sell them all on Thursday! I think we are gonna make a lot of money out of them. Plus I also made some cards and Celinna is helping me make the envelopes. Thanks Celinna!

Now I only have enough thread to make one or two felt stuff. Closing up the felt stuff requires a really long piece of thread. I just wanna finish up now so that we can reach our company goal sooner. It's been fun but we kinda have to move onto buskerfest nao.

Sunday, December 18, 2011

Well, well, well

Second day of winter break. Not bad. Just the usual. I did tutoring again and one of my student's mom told me to come everyday during the winter break. O.O Oh well. I am still making felt stuff because I kinda wanna do another sale on Wednesday. I already made like 7. Hehehhehehehe in two days! So proud of myself. Oui oui. Oh, and today I watched Family Guy Christmas episode. I watched it last year. Hheheheheh. It was about Stewie and Brian finding Santa all sick and messed up. Then they decided to save Christmas. Hhehehehhehe. Really fun episode.

Le Selling

WINTER BREAK MUAHWHAHAHAHAH~~~~~

So anyways, we had our winter assembly today, and after that Carina and I went straight to the "haunted apartment" to do some selling for our business thing project.

You remember the "haunted apartment", don't you? I wrote about it in one of my grade 8 blogs. We saw an old guy in diaper; a pedo who offered us green cookies and a crazy woman with imaginary butcher knife when we were in that building asking for money for Buskerfest last school year.  Shiver~~~ Yes, we were shivering when we got there.

But apparently, this time the building is not so freaky anymore. We never saw those freaky ppl. We sold everything though and made like 42 dollars. Not bad, not bad at all :P Considering we didn't really have that much to sell :')

It was just me and Carina. After that we went to my house and we continued making some stuff with felt. We are doing another sale next week before Christmas.

Thursday, December 15, 2011

Oh...

Well, this afternoon we went to the Synergy party. We did go to Robson square skating rink. Carina, Jennica, Celinna and I waited for Mr. Olson for so long to sign in but he didn't show up! :'( We were so hungry so we went to Pacific Centre food court and ate lunch. Dude. I was sooooooo like starving! Lunch was nice, then we got too warm and cozy inside the mall so that we decided to stay. We wandered into Sears and bought some small Christmas gifts! I found this really really cute porcelain bunny candle holder for only $3.25 (tax included) and I bought it for my mom. Hhehehhehe. Sorry Mr. Olson! But we were there...we just got too hungry and left :')

Oh, and is it okay if I can do my bus adventure during the winter break? I go on buses like every week regularly and I always forget to take pictures...:')

why did I write this blog so late

Gahhhhh I can't believe I am writing such a late blog today! Just a few more minutes 'til 12 so I have to hurry up. Anyways, this afternoon Roy and I went to Jessie's house to work on our mandala. Our theme is travelling and we are building a traveller. Hahehehhehe. I think we are kinda tight on schedule right now because we still have to finish the writing portion. The good thing is that we are finished with constructing the traveller model. Now we just have to finish up all the writing work! Hehhehehe. Oh, and I also spent most of my evening making a gift for my Secret Santa person. It took me so long because the paint was not being nice to me. :o

V for Vendetta

I LOVE V FOR VENDETTA~~~~It's such a good movie! Argghghhg must watch it again with mon family. The ending is so sad and beautiful at the same time. </3 le cry. I love the domino part. So cool! I wonder how long it took them to put up all the dominoes. There must be 1million pieces in that display. Just imagine this----you are half-way done, and you accidentally knock down one domino and destroy the entire ensemble. Lolz. Hard work.

So Busy

This afternoon I went to help out with the district test thingy. It reminded me of myself taking the same test about like two years ago. Ahhhhh...I remember the time. I was so nervous and sorta "scared" because I thought I was gonna fail the test. But turns out I didn't...I got into Synergy, so yay for moi. Anyways, we distributed the test papers and such. But when we collected them, the alphabetically order got messed up, so we spent some time reorganizing stuff. We also got juice boxes. It was so funny, because when I told Mr. Olson that I was bored because the people were just like doing their tests and not having any questions. Mr. Olson told me : "Have a juice." I was like "Okay." But then at the end I drank too much juice and my stomach actually hurt a little bit from the acidic liquid. Hahahhahahaha. I counted my juice boxes. I've had three juice boxes in total today! A grape juice box during lunch; a medley juice box and an apple-orange-peach juice during the district test. Lolz.

Now I am just working on my socials brochure. Carina gave me the online google template so that we can all work on it together. Heh. It's not as good as CorelDraw, but we can all get on it. Hehhehehehehe.

Oh My Cheeses

Today I went to this award ceremony for a piece of medallion I've won from the piano competition. Viv and Levina were there too! They were volunteering for the event. Anyways, after the award ceremony we went to our church for the Christmas program. We sang hymns and presented our verses, then we went downstairs for a yummy turkey dinner. The food was so delicious.

Then we came home and I realized that I still have a lot of work to do. I can't believe it----this week we are all so busy! What is wrong with teachers before holidays? Huh, I guess they just like torturing us before the break. Muahahahwhahh evilness >:D Anyways, I am working on my socials brochure right now. It's due on Tuesday. We only have one more night to work on it, which is tomorrow night. I still have to upload some of my pictures onto my website. Sorry for the delay! I was sooo busy for the past few weeks. Life is getting busier and busier nowadays. I miss the time when I used to have plenty of free time. Now when was that---perhaps when I was 4?

Saturday, December 10, 2011

Yushhhhhh

I feel so proud of myself today. This morning I went to my harmony exam and it took me 3 hours to finish everything. Then rudiment in the afternoon and it took about 2 hours. Finally, I rushed to my piano teacher's Christmas concert and performed Aufschwung by Schumann. I did so much stuff today. I am really happy now that I don't have to worry about theory anymore until like April next year. Muwhahahhah. I can finally watch tv again! For the last two weeks I couldn't enjoy any entertainment. Now I is free. Oui oui. Well, partly free. I still have my piano exam in January. Ughghghghghgh...

Blog with Mom (7)

Mom: Mimi wanted to have some water lily root soup today so I cooked some for dinner. Then I sat in front of the computer and worked for almost three hours straight on one of my logo design project. I am suppose to make several samples and choose the best one. Designing is a lot of work, and it really takes a lot of time to think about the right color and such.

Me: I thought I was gonna fail math. But today I checked my percentage and I am like over 90 percent. Yayayayayyaya. The reason why I thought I was gonna fail is because of my slopes test. I don't really get slopes. I got really confused on whether the slope is positive or negative. Lolz. Anyways, I did terrible on that test, but she dropped my lowest quiz mark (she didn't drop the slope test because it was a test, she only dropped my worst QUIZ mark) so my mark didn't really go down that much. Hehehehhehehe. Small victory.

Blog with Dad (6)

Mom was tired today and didn't say much. So nao I am doing blog about mon pop.

Dad: So today my daughter was suppose to meet me at the Oakridge food court because she had to go to her theory class at 6:30. My wife was out for classes so no one was able to cook. Mimi and I had dinner at the food court and then we bused to the church where Mimi's class is at. Today was her last class before the exams. Her teacher corrected three of her practice tests and I am glad her harmony test score improved.

Me: Sigh....so busy this week and next week! Here's a list of things I need to accomplish for this week
Tomorrow: French test
Saturday: Harmony exam, advanced rudiment exam, piano recital.
Sunday: Award ceremony, Sunday School Christmas program

SO BUSY! MUST GET TO WORK NAO. SEE YA :P

Blog With Mom (5)

Mom: My daughter went to the St. George Debate today. Her dad went to pick her up so I cooked dinner. I also cooked some peanut soup for her. She came back almost 9:30. I thought the event would end at 7:30 but apparently they were not always right on schedule. Nevertheless, it was a very good practice for Mimi and a great opportunity.

Me: Ghahhahahah today I finally went to the St. George's Debate! At lunch I changed into my formal outfit. It was really intense and awkward to be seem in a dress...People were like looking at me and I was like -.- Anyways, I left school at 2:15 and Shanna's mom gave us a ride. When we got to St. Georges we waited for a while for the event briefing to start. Then we were introduced our resolution. I thought my team was on the affirmative side, and our resolution was something like : This House would establish an anti-bullying legistration. But then------something happened. So my partner Jason and I rushed to our room to prepare for our speech, and then there were two guys standing outside the room staring at us. I could hear them saying "Aren't we suppose to debate with the Crofton House girls?" Then I was like WHAT. Then the Crofton people arrived and we were just like O.o They told us that we've made a mistake because our school code was so similar, and that when it was displayed on the screen we probably mistaken theirs for ours. So we rushed back to McClean Hall and asked the host, and she got our right room. We were on the opposition side and we were facing two guys from private school, of which I presumed to be either St. George's or Vancouver College. They were really good speakers! I was a bit rusty for that round. Our opponents had some great points but their lack of respect for us really annoyed me. During our speeches they were talking to each other really loud and giggling. OH GEEZ! I was seriously annoyed. Jason addressed their inappropriateness in his speech and I hope the judge heard us.

For second round we debated a different topic, and this time we were on the affirmative side. Our new resolution was: This House would put strengthening the Canadian Criminal Code as priority (something like that). I think we did way better for that round! We were debating against University Hill students and they were not as strong as our opponents from the first round. I was more confident in that round. Our opponents went slightly off-topic in that round and went onto issues concerning the economy, education and homelessness rather than focusing on the given issue. Overall I think we did better in the second round.

Today had been a busy day and now I am just s exhausted! But the tournament was really epicly fun and I hope we can get another chance to do one soon! :p

Blog with Mom (4)

Mom: Mimi wanted me to get her a formal outfit for the St. George Debate Tournament so I went shopping this afternoon. I found this little suit (the jacket) and bought it. Mimi didn't come with me because she had debate meeting. I got the jacket home and she tried it on but the shoulder parts are too wide for her. So she borrowed one of my outfit. I just hope she doesn't ruin it. Mimi is not always very careful with her outfits.

Me: Today I went to debate meeting and then piano. Can you believe it? The St. George Debate Tournament is happening tomorrow afternoon! Oui, indeed my friend. Anyways, ma mere bought me a jacket for the event but unfortunately the shoulder part was a bit wide. But my mom said she's gonna save it for when I grow up. She said that I will grow taller and perhaps then I would be able to wear that jacket. But for tomorrow I am wearing one of her dress. I am not really a dress person and wearing a dress makes me feel girly but it's for my debate tournament. Although Mr. Hauck said we don't really need a really really formal outfit...well, I still wanna wear a formal outfit, because I think Debate Tournaments are sorta like really formal socials events. What's more, last time at the UBC debate tournament we were required to wear formal clothings. So yep.

Blog with Mom (3)

Mom: Mimi asked me to buy a loaf of raisin bread and buns from St.Jermaine's bakery because she didn't want to eat the whole grain bread her dad made. Sigh. I've always told her that whole grain products are suppose to be healthy for her but she just won't listen. Oh well. I guess all kids are like this.

Me: Mom bought me some baked goods and they taste really awesome. Then I practiced piano and my mom criticized me while I played. I needed her opinion because my practical exam is in January and I wanna be prepared for that. Oh and I just finished the biography of Lang Lang! It's so.....well, I can't really describe it. But I've learned so much about the talented young pianists! And his dad...OMG. Such a cruel dad. I is scared of Lang Lang's dad. o.o

Blog with Mom (2)

Sorry I missed a blog yesterday! Well here's my interview with ma mere...

Mom: It's going to be a very busy week. Mimi has exams and a piano performance on Saturday and a Christmas program at Sunday School on Sunday. She also has to go to this award ceremony for a medal she'd won. Busy week for her. And now I am doing her chores such as washing the dishes because she's been busy all week.

Me: Nothing much really happened today. But then my mom made this hot soup for me. It has peanut and water lily root in it and I liked it very much. And then after I studied harmony and rudiment because I have exams next Saturday. I do not enjoy studying very much and I hopes I can just get it over with next Saturday.

Blog with Mom (1)

Ma:

Mimi had a busy day today. She spent all her morning tutoring and the whole afternoon at theory. Then she spent most of the night tutoring again. Good for her because she can practice her time managing skills. She is going to take her harmony and rudiment test next Saturday so she must study very hard for this week.

Me:

I can't believe I am so busy these days! And I even skipped the blog for yesterday...well here's the make-up blog. Yesterday I had to study theory till like 11:30 because of my upcoming examine. Ehhehehehehehehee.e.........NuUUUUUUUUUUU JUST ONE MORE WEEK TO GO. And then winter break and me snooza.

Vivian Lee (2)

I woke up this morning, thinking it would be the worst December ever. I have a sore throat and god my shot hurts :(. I had photography in the morning and started a new project. I uploaded my reflection project :P. Then for French we had to design an invention. My partner is Zoe. We invented this super duper awesome glasses that has plenty of cool functions. Oh. LUNCH. That reminds me of yesterday's lunch. Yesterday Kady wasn't feeling too well and it was so scary she was puking in the washroom---perhaps aftereffects from the shot. Now let's get back to today. For socials I was screaming at everyone. Lololololololz. Then for Applied Skills I shot scenes for English. I added some magic to the video, and the magic shall be revealed tomorrow at English :p. Then I went home and did magic for 3 hours.

I didn't wash my hair today and made my mom wash it. Lolz. She is a hairdresser. :o) She gave me a massage and it was so <3.

I can't find Big Vivian!

Oh noes! I can't find Big Vivian (Vivian Lee, but I call her big Vivian). I tried phoning her but she didn't pick up. I am afraid I might not be able to do our empathy blog tonight! :O

Well, then, I suppose I should write about myself just for today. I finally finished Death Note. Such an excellent manga! But at the end...I kinda wanted Light Yagami to create the perfect world....I just can't believe he actually died! Nuuuuuuuuuu. But the story had such a wonderful plot. The writer is so smart :)

Oh, and I made potato with curry for dinner. My mom wasn't home and it was just me and my dad and we didn't want to cook anything too difficult so we decided to make potato in curry. Basically you just boil the potato and add in the curry. Done. Lolz lazy way of making dinner. Before we used to go to Macdonald's whenever my mom's not home...but later on my mom said it was a bad habit and that we would become so unhealthy and obese if we kept the habit. So we quit. Nao homemade dinner. Not as delicious, but...it's food.

Vivian Lee (1)

my afternoon was meh...had chocolate for snack...that sorta ruined my healthy diet. What else...and oh yeah, submitted the entry form for writing contest, and now I am freaking out bout the english project. Apparently, I almost forgot about it. O.O Must get to work now. Bye blog~
So i had photography first thing in the morning and i really like the reflection project, although its difficult to find reflections in the school. We spent 20 min in the washroom LOL, washroom mirros ftw. New seat in french class 0_0

First School Day of the 2nd Term

Today was the first school day of the 2nd term! Fresh start. Oui oui. Anyways, as I have mentioned in my previous blog that Mr. Hauck had freaked me out about the only 6 available spots for the St. George tournament, my team got in! I sent the email just in time. One other group sent theirs as well. Well, as long as my team gets to debate, I should feel happy and satisfied.

Then for science we started THE VIDEO. Oh what do you call it----the human reproduction/birthing/awkwardness video? If I had remembered it correctly, I watched it when I was in grade 7 when the nurse came to our class for sex-ed. Anyways, most people were scarred for life. And that was only the beginning. Ugh. Anyways, just awkward~~~

For PE we did square dancing, which was fine. The grade 8's were pretty awkward as usual. Most of the grade 8 guys I danced with are pretty short. That was awkward. Anyways, square dancing actually made me sweat with all the moving and swinging and jumping around. Lolz.

After school Carina walked with me. We found a wallet bag sorta thing outside school and returned it to the office. Then we walked home. Oui oui. Overall the day was good. But tomorrow...I have to do two makeup tests! One for math and one for French. I missed Wednesday last week and those were the two tests missed. :O(

Sunday, November 27, 2011

OMG

I just got an email from Mr. Hauck saying that we can only have 6 teams for the St. George debate tournament! First come, first served. I was like WHAT. I quickly wrote him an email confirming our registration and our judge's name. I hope my team can make it. The email was sent 6 hours ago, so I hope not a lot of people saw it and replied. I am really looking forward to this tournament and it would be pretty awkward if our team doesn't make it. I would have to dismiss my judge and that's not a good thing to do. He is not someone from my family and certainly not a close relative or anything. He is a friend of ours from the church. Anyways, I really really want to be in the tournament. Wish us luck!

Oh noes

I can't believe I missed the first blog of the second term yesterday! Nuuuu I don't usually miss blogs. MUST.MAKE.UP.Anyways, yesterday was pretty busy for me. Had tutor and theory lessons as usual. Then I finished English last night, which was good. I knew that today would be a lot busier so I wanted to finish stuff beforehand.

It's good to plan ahead. It also helps me get out of mah procrastination mode. Teehehheheheheh.

I am excited for the second term. Wasn't too happy about science mark for term 1. No one got A except for Jennica. Stupid DNA test. But I am sure term 2 will be a fresh start. I can't believe it. Time went by so fast and I barely noticed it.

Back to Myself

Yesterday I finally finished my last empathy blog with Jessie so today I am back to myself. Anyways, I was away the whole day because I had to go to two piano competitions. I got a first place and a third place. In the first competition I played Arabesque no.1 by Debussy and I got a third place. I. WAS. SHOCKED.WHEN.I.GOT.THIRD.PLACE. It made me rage so much! So I decided that I would do better and try to get a first place in the second competition. And I did. I played Variation in A Minor by Kabalevsky. Yushshshhshshhshhhs. I LOVE GETTING FIRST PLACE. EVIL LAUGH MUWHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA. I am making a nice comeback after two and a half years without piano :-)

Jessie's Penguins (7)

I woke up late this morning and had terrible breakfast. The egg was so OVERCOOKED. Not yummy at all. And then I had to rush to school. Almost forgot to bring my gym strip. Well, English was nice, and Science was cool----no homework! LALALALLLALAL. During lunch I helped Vivi with her science fair experiment. We crushed vitamins and weighed them. It went a lot faster this time, since we knew the trick :P While I was helping, I also played Air Penguin: the bestest game in da world <3 PENGUINS PENGUINS PENGUINS. After lunch I went to PE and we had our last day of basketball. But I didn't mind...because I wasn't into basketball anywayz. After PE I went to strings and it was just a normal class...all relaxing and stuff. Then...I left my gym strips there. Me and Angel had to go back and get it. Going up and down the stairs was painful Q.Q

On the way home it started raining a lot. It poured so hard that I had stop and get my umbrella. And now I have a lot homework and I am desperately trying to finish Q.Q

Monday, November 21, 2011

Jessie's Penguins (6)

I am so tired right now! I still have to finish my English book Q.Q and do the assignment. To be honest with you that book is not really my type. And you know what else? That book is the only assignment for tonight. It stands in my way of complete freedom! Me not happy :< ME NO GUSTA

And I played with my new phone all day today! Then the battery ran out Q.Q Why phone, why?! I just charged you yesterday! Anyways I started playing Air Penguin (it's very addicting) I still have to go get a ducky momo ringtone and a breadfish ring tone. Then I started spamming people with my new phone and guess what: IT'S SO FUN! Spamming is gonna be a hobby nao...so beware!

Lalalalllllalllaalllalalalalllala~~~~~~DUCKY MOMO IZ MAH BEST FRIEND <3

Jessie's Penguins (5)

I woke up really late this morning at 12:00pm...PROUDNESS. Sleeping for a long time is an accomplishment :> Then after that I ate lunch (yes I skipped breadfast).Went and bought a new phone :P Buying a phone was exhausting! Took me a long long time~~~I got there at 1:00pm and it took until like 3:00pm and I was so tired :o I got the android~~~then I downloaded a lot of games like penguin games :p My mom went and got clothes while I got chocolat! CHOCOLAT IS VERY NICE. Then we bought a lot of lotion. I kept smelling the lotion. Yumyum. Just came back like half an hour ago. I feel bad about abandoning mah old phone. Sorry old phone...but your buttons are not working very well. I am very tired. Very very tired indeed /:<

Jessie's Penguins (4)

Lalallalal~~my friend Alice had a sleepover with moi yesterday! I am sorry Mimi we missed the empathy blog :/ After she left this morning I quickly finished my Chinese homework (which I didn't do) And I thought we were gonna have our Chinese test today but we didn't. Lucky moi. Chinese class is boring anywayz. After I got home, I had to do LAUNDRY, which wasn't too exciting. To be honest my Saturdays aren't that exciting.

But then Mimi showed me a video of the Marvelous Breadfish! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yuf2nvDWCJY Gotta learn this song fast and sing it to everyone in PE class!

Oh noes Jessie is missing

Gahahhahahh I tried phoning Jessie but she didn't pick it up. I tried both her home phone and her cell and nobody answered. Nuuuuuuuuu. Oh well, I will just have to phone her tomorrow and perhaps do a make-up empathy blog then.

Anyways....

Let's talk about mah day. It snowed today! Wwheeeeeee but then it melted...Q.Q Sadness. And I missed the entire morning due to a piano competition. Oh yeah, and it was really, although I was nervous. Well, it was a good starter...first competition in Canada! I got second place :/ But it was okay. I think I will do better for my next round.

I did come back for PE and photography though. For PE we just played basketball. I really liked the game "bump". Our group had several rounds and in one round I was the winner! That really made my day. For the last ten minutes of the class we had mini games and our team did horrible "o.o but it was still really fun! Then I went to photography and we got a new project. Lololllollllololol. Then afterschool me and Carina and Celinna walked home and we talked about random things and freaked out some ppl. Lawlz.

Jessie's Penguins (3)

Lalalallal~~~ We had French first thing in the morning and we had a seating change!Q.Q I used to sit at the front but now I am sitting at the back Q.Q Total blindness :( Then we had math and we had a test today! The first part was really easy...but the second part was HORRIBLE! Nuuuuuuuu and I thought I was gonna ace the whole thing, but now...Q.Q badness. Then for socials we had to find the 25 worst countries in the world. I know this sounds insensitive---but I told April to put down all the countries in Africa. I AM SORRY PPL LIVING IN AFRICA Q.Q Our group was really unorganized. Oh and our company had a failure today, which I shall not mention :/ Hheheheheh. But we made through the day, half-dead. Q.Q Woah there's a lot of sadness in my blog today. Q.Q Oh, oh, but the happy thing is I finally finished reading the part of the book for English!

Important finger update: My finger still hurts Q.Q

Jessie's Penguins (2)

My day started off tired because I had to wake up....and the block rotation was sad, because I miss mah old block. You always like your first block rotation better than the other block rotations.April went to woodwork by accident :oP During science was all chill. We almost finished the crossword (yes we were chilling). We had draw a diagram of the male's reproductive system. April basically did everything while I did crossword :P. During PE we played basketball and I hurt my finger and it hurts a lot now..:'( When I was doing strings I couldn't really play the violin :'(( because I couldn't really hold the bow properly and it was all limpy and blehehehehehhe. If the bad finger was on the left hand instead of the right hand, I could've skipped string like Yunyi did last year >:D Ohhh and the lucky thing was that the strings test wasn't on today! Oh and I tried to teach Fang yu the Spongebob song...but she got annoyed :/ oh well :D

But oh well, as long as I am happy, everything else should be fine! And I hope I didn't fail my math test :3..again. Mimi showed my a creepy and disturbing and random and scary video of random things all put together in a really weird video! D: We finally finished Jennica's penguin hat (after all the screaming and nagging I gave to April---well, Jennica did it too, so you can't really blame me :P)

Oh and I LOVE PUSS IN BOOTS!

Lolz Home Alone

Today we didn't need to go to school so I stayed home all by myself. Yep that's right. But I did watch this interesting movie called Love Thy Neighbor. It was kinda freaky in a psychological way. It's about this woman and her family. They got a house break-in and that really freaked the woman and her kid out so they moved to a new place called something Edens. Anyways, their new neighbor, this large lady was really friendly....but not everything is the way they look. What happend next was really twisty...and I will leave that for you to find out yourself. :P

Piano Master Class

This afternoon I went to this master class for piano. My master teacher was Dr. Robert Silverman. I brought three pieces with me today: Aufschwung by Schumann, Arabesque 1 by Debussy and Variation in A Minor by Kabalevsky. There was another kid whose class was before mine but we have the same piano teacher. Well anyways, I stayed for his class so I could get a preview of what my class was gonna be like. Dr. Silverman was such a great mentor! He was so into the details and it was just amazing watching he teach. When it was finally my turn I was so nervou because I was gonna play for a great pianist. My music was a bit shaky....:/ After I finished playing he spoke to me about some details in the music I'd played and he was really concentrated on the details of the pieces. I learned a LOT from his class. He made me realize that I should pay MORE attention to small details in the music pieces. He said something like: "The composer didn't put that note down for no reason. It's there because it matters" Anyways, I was completely WOWED. It was a really worthy class and it really opened my eyes. Mr. Silverman also said something:" Don't think about how you've played today. Think about WHAT YOU HAVE LEARNED TODAY." Wow.

Here's Dr. Silverman's website. His playing is really amazing and you must check them out!

Be sure to click on the "HEAR" section to hear some of his awesome recordings!

Can't believe I missed yesterday's blog!

Well, you got it----I didn't write my blog for yesterday. Well, yesterday night I was watching Pearl Harbor with my mom----and it was a really good movie, but very long as well. I am not sure...but it was definitely wayyyyyy over 2 and a half hours. The movie started at 9:00 pm and by the time it ended it was almost 1:00am. Lolz. Anyways, yesterday was Remembrance Day, which is why the movie Pearl Harbor was on the TV. I remember watching part of it when I was like 9 ish (the scary Japanese bombing Pearl Harbor part). Well, overall the movie was soo sad. I dislike war. I know it's just a movie, but what happens in reality is probably a lot worse :(

Hiding Waldo

Today for photography we did the hiding waldo project! Waldo is a famous character from the Department Store and he wears glasees, a hat with pom-pom, a red and white stripy shirt and blue pants. He also has a cane. Anyways, we were suppose to hide Waldo somewhere in our pictures. He must be well-hidden, or camouflaged I should say, but we couldn't hide him beneath anything. He has to be wholly present in the picture, it's just that he has to blend in. We did a couple of picture putting Waldo on blue bikes. That was good. But we got most of our best Waldo pictures in the library. Alex and I hid our Waldos in Tintin and Asterix comic books. The Tintin ones worked really really good! Waldo did a great job blending in with the rest of the comic book characters in the Tintin book!

Chinese Math

My math needs improvement! My dad is too lazy to teach me (he is really good at math :3) so he registered an online Chinese math course for me. Costed us 400 RMB but it's not really a lot in dollars (about 60 or 65 ish dollars I guess?) Well anyways, he also printed out the textbook booklet and question solutions. I am listening to the online course right now. I like how a little window always pop up when the teacher is done with one section so that I can check my understanding by doing the little question in the window. :3

Debate!

We finally did our English debate this afternoon! It was really fun----except that I think I should've done better. I was expecting a lot more from myself. Switching from cross-examination back to basic parliamentary is kinda weird...but anyways, at the begining I was a bit nervous because Vivian L and Joanna had modeled the resolution a bit differently than we had thought. So a large portion of my research was kinda invalid :/ but I said what I've got and elaborated a bit. There was one question that Vivian asked during my refutation and we were fussing over it. Both sides were kinda misunderstanding other's point so I was like "meheheheheh whatever". But the whole debate was fine and probably one of the most intense ones in the class. We were so happy after the debate and Celinna, Vivian, Joanna and I did a big hug-together. I think we should do debates more often. And btw, for the debate meeting this afternoon, Mr. Hauck decided to use our resolution and we all played a really fun debate game :p

Today

Well, guess what----the socials essay test wasn't that hard after all! I finish the essay but the sad was I didn't have enough time to do a good copy---so my essay has crossed out words and stuff all over. I just hope it's readable for Mr. Martin! And then during lunch I went to Ms. Jay to finish up my science test. It wasn't that hard either. I just hope I can get a good mark overall. But Celinna told me that our partner quiz thing got a really low mark and that most ppl in the class got really low marks as well because we didn't even figure out the answers....:/ Hope that doesn't take up a huge portion of our overall marks! Or else we would be cooked :o

Notes

I am doing my social's notes right now. I am a bit nervous for tomorrow's socials essay test! I also have to finish my science test tomorrow at lunch because I was away Friday afternoon for the debate tournament! Gahahhhhhhh I really hate missing assignments because you would have to find another time to finish them! But the tournament was so important and I really needed to go. Well, anyways, I am finding my life getting busier and busier with events. My schedule is really full and sometimes it's really hard to really find a time for some busing adventures...I really missed the old days without such a busy schedule...but I think I must face the reality and adapt to it and try to improve it.

UBC Tournament Part 2

Soooooooo.....this morning (Saturday morning) I met up with my partner Jason at the Canada Line and we went to UBC right away. They served breakfast there and after for like an hour or so we were ready to debate our second topic for round 3 which was be it resolved that teachers never allowed to strike. Our opponents were on the opposition side and we were on the government affirmative side. They were pretty good actually! While trying to come up with things to refute their statements, I also wrote down some of their good points because I knew that we would be on the opposition side as well in round 4. It was also a very close debate!

Then we went to round 4 and this time we were side opposition. Our opponents' points to be honestly were ehhhhhhhhhhhderp. My partner was so pissed because the other team was using a quite sarcastic and mocking tone toward us and using harsh words such as "ridiculous" (you are not suppose to use words such as ridiculous, stupid, etc in a formal debate tournamnet) but I was really excited because I think our points were much MUCH better and we probably won that round.

Then we had lunch! We had butter chicken, chick pea curry and rice. It was quite nice.

Then we came to our final round before the finals. The 5th round. This time, we were given an impromptu topic: be it resolved that all nations be allowed to have nuclear arms. My team was on the opposition side as I was like yesssssssssssssssss. Our opponents were two private school girls (probably from York House or Craften House---did I spell that correctly?) Anyways, I think we did a pretty good job on that one too, because the other team was going off topic in the middle of their speech. Although their speech was fluent (ours too), their points weren't as strong and convincing, and they went off topic. I think we totally bossed that round.

Unfortunately, non of the Churchill debaters made it into the finals....only four teams were selected out of more than a 100 teams (two teams junior, two teams senior). But we've gained valuable knowledge and experience! I really look forward to our next tournament! This is really fun! We didn't lose at all----instead we've all gained something important and learned valuable lessons!

Btw, we also watched the junior's finals-----the first place team was from West Point Grey (private school) and the first speaker was like BEAST. His speech was like so fluent and fast and there was absolutely NO HESITATION whatsoever! It was perfect! Both teams did amazing job!

UBC Debate Tournament Part 1

On Friday I left at 2:30pm for the UBC Debate Tournament! Most of our teams bused with Mr. Hauck and we got to the place in about 30-40 minutes approx. Anyways, we checked in at one  building, and then moved to another building. We weren't exactly on schedule because there were so many things that the committee had to take care off! There were more than 400 people there and over 100 teams, and some of them were even from the NorthWest territories and Manitoba! I knew right then that it was gonna be an intense and fun tournament. After approx. an hour of waiting we finally got our code: Shannon. My team was Shannon D. We were sent off to debate in other builders and different rooms. Our first round was.so.EASY. We debated on "be it resolved that schools cut funding to the arts" and we were on the opposition side. Our opponents were two guys and we totally CRUSHED them. Our team was awesome because our reasons were reasonable and supportive. Lucky for us, our opponents modeled the "cutting funding to the arts" as totally ELIMINATING the arts. When they said that I was like YESSSSSSSSSSS! We are so gonna win this round! Anyways, we totally ruled that round.

After the first round we returned to the main building for dinner. I had three slices of pizza and pop. Then we got our new opponents and new debating rooms. Our opponents were Eric Hamber mini-school students. But------here's the funny part. The two teams got together because we were trying to find our room. But our room was on the other side of the building and the entrance was LOCKED. we went outside again and checked different entrances and they were all LOCKED. So we returned back to the building and wandered around the building trying to find the room. Then we asked this janitor dude and he opened the door so that we could enter the other side of the building and we finally found our room----but it was LOCKED as well! Both teams were in the danger of being disqualified. The thing was, the committee ppl put down the wrong room number! We tried to guess the rooms...but didn't have any luck. But there was one judge who was missing one team so my team and our opponents went instead. That was a pretty close debate! The guy speaker was really good. The girl was a bit...well, not as good as the guy, but overall it was just a fun debate and it was definitely better to face opponents like them, who are more worthy and fun!

After the second round we went home and by the time I got home it was like 11:00 and I was absolutely TIRED. I went to sleep right away so that I could prepare for Saturday's rounds.

Cookie Sale

Today Leslie, Carina and Jennica baked a lot of yummy treats so we went and sold them. We made nearly 100 bucks in profits! So proud. I also sold the felt stuffy santa. Double proudness. I had a lot of fun! People are so generous these days! We had customers who simply bought lots of baked goods. Oh yeah, and before we went to the buildings, we even sold some goods to Ms. Salter as well! Yessssssss. We are closer to our 300 bucks goal! And then we are gonna donate the profit to RSPCA for all the animals there!

It's good to set a goal because you know what you want and you can also schedule and plan out how you are gonna achieve that goal!

Awesome Work Day

So today I went to Viv's dad's workplace. Yunyi was there too! The three of us had soooo much fun together. Anyways, I was using every bit of my Cantonese vocab there, and I've certainly learned  lots of things. Sorry I have to go now, because I have debate stuff to do. I will write more about this tomorrow!

The UBC Debate Tournament is Near

We are going to the UBC Debate Tournament on Friday! I am gonna leave the school at 2:30pm on Friday and go to UBC with the rest of the teams! I am sooo excited, since it will be my first actual debate tournament of the year!

Today I was a bit nervous about the judges because my team didn't have ANY judges. My parents are not free and I didn't think I would get other people. I asked Jason Mah (my partner for debate) and he couldn't think of anyone either. Mr. Hauck had said "If you don't have a judge, you may not even get to debate at the tournament!" But then I saw that Rosy and Vivian had two judges (we only need to have one judge per team), so I borrowed a judge from them. Thank you Rosy and Vivian! I luv you guise <3

Now I have to prepare for the tournament! I have to do a tonne of research with Jason. We are doing the cross-examination style for junior debate and I want to fulfill my time and do a good job for my first debate tournment!

Halloween

Well, it's Halloween again----but this year I didn't go trick-or-treating! There are two main reasons: 1.it's on a school and we have 2 tests tomorrow so I have to study; 2.I don't have any friends to go with me! Last year I went with my best bud Asma, but this year she's moved to Richmond so I am forever alone. Jennica and Leslie have also moved so the friends who live closest to me are probably Jessie and April...but still, their houses are a little bit far and it wouldn't be convenient for me to get around. Anyways, I did go out though! I was hoping that I could capture some great pictures of Halloween...but it was kinda disappointing. Most houses didn't have decorations! And because I don't have a costume or anything, I can't get into people's yard and take close shots. But I took some pictures of the pumpkins at the Marpole community centre and our Langara rental office. The rental office was having a party but when we came back it was already over and the office lady was starting to take down things! But I rushed to the door and asked if I could take some pictures---and she said yes! I took some shots of the decorations inside the rental office...sigh, it would've been much better if I was there earlier! But it was still good, and the rental office lady was really nice and she gave me a handful of candy! YAYAYAYAYYAYAYYA!

Brrrrrr

Gahhhh it's getting so cold outside! I miss all the sun-shiny autumn days. Looks like we are heading into a cold winter! I hope it snows this year.Yep. Just pure snow with NO RAIN. I don't really like how it always rains these days because then you would get all wet and cold and shivering and such. The rain also makes me wanna sleep! Ughghhghghg. I would be so unproductive if I am sleepy all the time. Nao...I must go away for tutor...and my mitosis flippy-book! :P

Japanese All You Can Eat Restaurant

So today after theory my dad's friends took us to this Japanese All-you can eaet restaurant in Burnaby (I forgot the name though). That restaurant was sooo crowded when we got there! We didn't book the seats, so we had to wait for like half an hour for available seats. Anyways, I could smell the wonderful aroma of Japanese food in the restaurant while waiting...and I was so hungry! Finally we got our seats and went in. We ordered a bunch of food ranging from the raw meat thingy (forgot the word in Japanese), sushi, teriyaki stuff, deep fried stuff and such. I really really liked the deep fried shrimp with the awesome sauce and the teriyaki chicken. I didn't eat any of the raw fish/meat dishes because I just don't eat raw meat. The sushi was okay-ish...I favored the hot dishes more because, after all, it's late autumn and it's getting cold, so I wanted warm food inside my tummy. We ate for a while until all the dishes were gone, then my dad's friend ordered some more because they are all grown-ups and thus they need more food. Lolz. Then it was time for dessert, and I ordered three different desserts off the menu. I really liked how they put the desserts in small portions so I didn't get too stuffed from one dessert. I ordered mango pudding, and two other weird desserts made from milk. Yum.

I was sooooo full after dinner and my dad's friend drove us home. I am still very full now and I think I am gonna have a hard time trying to get to sleep.

Oh, It's the Weekend AGAIN

I know, I know, the weekend is tomorrow-----and I should be happy about it, right? Well...weekends aren't really thrilling for moi sometimes. Tutor, turor, and endless tutoring-----I mean, tutoring someone is great, and I can earn money and have a great social experience at the same time----but going back and forth between two places is just exhausting, especially when you have to tutor for 2 hours and spend 1 hour for the trip. Yes...and theory. I am trying to finish the whole basic harmony book before December so I can do it for my exam. I started basic harmony in the middle of September and I am going by 20 pages (40 sides) of homework per class so I am very close to getting the book done. I also have to do some advanced rudiment practice tests because I will be doing that for the exam as well...anyways, there's a lot of work waiting for me to finish. We also have a science flip-book due on Monday and English debate. I am not too worried about debate because I've already had some experience before. But the science flip-book? I don't know, I wanna keep my percentage still high. Busy times. Busy as a Bee.

The awesome thing is that tomorrow night we are gonna go out for dinner with friends. Yay! A break from all the hard work!

Rush Hour

This afternoon I was soooo busy. Me, Celinna, Carina and Jennica had volunteer orientation at Marpole Community Center right after school. That lasted for an hour...and then me and Celinna just went right away to Langara Canada Line station, because she had to take the 49 bus there and I had to go to Oakridge 41st and then take the bus to Granville for my theory lesson ( normally I would have it on Saturdays, but next Saturday I have the debate tournament so my teacher moved the 2-hour lesson to two 1-hour lessons on this Wednesday and the next one. I just missed one bus because of the street light (I couldn't cross the street in time) so I had to wait for about 10 minutes. My schedule was sooo tight because it was only 10 minutes before 6:00 (my lesson time). When the bus finally came, I just hopped on and for a moment I was relieved. Then I spent 5 minutes on the bus and it took me to Granville street and then I just hopped on a no.10 bus and got to Shaunessey Church (where I had my lessons). It was really really rushy and unfortunately I will have to do that AGAIN next Wednesday :/

Langara Trail

Today for photography we went to Langara golf course to take some pictures (about 60-ish). Well, it was really fun, and certainly a nice change (before we only took pictures around the school and not really anywhere else) Me and Alex buddied up and took a lot of pictures. First we took a bunch of pictures of gigantic mushrooms. They were in clumps and some of them looked really cute while the others looked gross and squished (because they were so crowded). Then we took a lot of pictures of the changing leaves. Changing leaves=autumnnnnnnnnnnn herp derp 0_o Anyways, we sure took tonnes of pictures along the way. I guess we were the last ones to come back to school. When we came back I saw a lot of our classmates outside Mr. Olson's room and I was like "what are they doing? Why aren't they going in?" Then I found out that Mr. Olson had shut the door when the bell rang (we came in after the bell rang). That was epic troll.

Ehhhhhhhhhh

I don't feel that good today. I mean, usually I am in a nice mood, but today....well, it's Monday, right? And I just received an email from Mr. Hauck saying that he is sick and so debate club is cancelled for tomorrow, and I don't think he is gonna be with us for English. I wish he can get better soon! His English class is always the highlight of the day.

I am getting a bit pressured from my upcoming piano competition in November. I have 5 pieces to compete. My brain is a bit jammed right now...Eh I will have to work harder and hopefully get myself some good results.

Growing up is kinda tiring and foreign. I missed the fun times I had as a little kid~~~

A Change in the Schedule

I wanted to go to this Chinese art show with my mom this afternoon just after church and before my evening tutoring session, but unfortunately...I had to change the schedule, so bye-bye art show. This morning I went to my piano teacher's house to help out with my student. I never knew that another girl was coming to do a duet with her! I mean, I know she has a duet piece... but I didn't know that her partner was coming TODAY. When they were done my piano teacher suggested me to tutor them at Tom Lee for thier duet piece. So the girls' moms just called the music store and arranged the praticing session at 3:00pm. I am gonna tutor them at TL for one and a half hour and then the other girl would leave and I would just tutor my student on her other pieces in her house. I've never helped out with a duet before...this is gonna be exciting and fun :p

Oh noes

I burnt my peanut butter cookies' bottoms! Gahahahhahahahahahahahhah annoooooooooo. But they were still edible, so we ate them and peeled off the burnt parts. I added less sugar so they were supposed to be healthier than yesterday's bunch! Lolololololol. Next time I should set the temperature a bit lower. Well, you can always learn from mistakes.

Peanut Butter Cookies

I found this super easy cookie recipe on my peanut butter jar, so I made some peanut butter cookies for myself! They were awesomeeeee. My ingredients: 1/2 cup of peanut butter, an egg and 1/4 cup of sugar. I just mixed them together and put them on a tray. Then I baked them for 15 minutes and watched the doughs expand and puff up. Then they were golden and done! Very soft and crispy at the bottom. Delicious!!!

Sleepy Days

It's just SO WEIRD. For the past few days I've been feeling sleepy a lot during the day for no reason! I mean, technically speaking, I am getting enough sleep (we didn't really have any homework for the past few days so I went to sleep at 10:30pm and woke up at 7:30 everyday since Monday). There. I don't know why I am feeling sleepy. I am eating right, exercising right, and sleeping right, BUT I STILL FEEL KINDA SLEEPY SOMETIMES! Nuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuz. I am scared. This has never happened to me before. This.is.seriously.freaky. And the weird thing is, if I manage to go beyond my sleepy time, I would get super hyper that it would take a long time for me to calm down. Another freaky thing. o.o

Synergy Field Trip

Today's Synergy field trip was so much fun! This year both the grade 8's and the grade 9's went together. However, the buddy system got a bit messed up close to the end. But overall, it was fun. We went to the airport first and stayed there for an hour. My buddy was Levina (Viv's little sis). But I also took two more Synergy 8's with me because their grade 9 buddies got seperated with them. We explored around the airport and I found out that all the SY 9's just got into a bunch and the SY 8's just formed their own groups as well. So much for the buddy system. Then after an hour we went on the Cananda Line again, and our next destination was Yaletown Roundhouse. I was suddenly really tired and sleepy (I don't know why). But the roundhouse had a really cool chooochooo train. I took so many photos of it! To be honest I never knew there was a train museum in Yaletown. Today's trip really opened my eyes.

Then we went to Lonsdale Quay. We ate our lunch at the old pizza place. Today's pizzas were a bit cold so that was a little bit disappointing. But then we had so much fun at the little park! Oh geez, I love doing all the obstacle stuff. Unfortunately we were only allowed to spend one hour there, so yeah.

Then we hopped on the seabus again. When we got to waterfront, we walked directly to Gas Town. I've never really explored Gas Town before! We arrived at the steam clock at 2:00, so the clock "sang" to us. It was really cool, and I don't think I can ever figure out the mechanics of the clock. Then we saw the statue of Gassy Jack (I think that's the right name, right). And that pretty much concluded our trip!

Epicness

I am so happy that I passed my science proposal. 9/10. Ah, I made careless mistakes: I didn't specify my controlled groups. I know it's in the procedure, but I didn't really point it out directly, but oh well. At least I got an A :) And Ms. Jay signed it so I can do the experiment!

Oh wait, I forgot to talk about English. Anyways, for English, we went down to the Mac Lab. Mr. Hauck talked about our debate sessions today! <33333333 I just LOVE debate. Me, Celinna, Leslie and Judy are in the debate club! But it's gonna be even more fun when we get the WHOLE class to debate! I am really excited for next class. This class we just discussed about the basics of debate, because most of the class are still pretty new to this stuff. Well, we are gonna have so much fun arguing with each other in the face in the future! :P

Moving onto debate club. I have to prepare for my UBC tournament (cuz I am in the Junior team). My partner is Jason Ma but he didn't show up today (on vacation). Anyways that's okay, because I am just gonna send him an email about what we did today. Mr. Hauck gave us the topics for Junior debate. One is about cutting the funding for the arts in schools. The second one is about to never allow teachers from doing a strike. We have to find back-up reasons for both the government and the opposition sides. Oooooooo, I am so nervous for the tournament! First debate tournament of the year is gonna be a bit challenging.

Socials!

For socials today we had a map test. I think I got all of them right...except the bonus question. I don't think I put down the right number of non-EU countries...anyway, that's okay. Afterward we went into the stuff on England. We had to pair up with a chosen buddy for a info search activity. Mr. Martin promised that the first three groups that got it right would be rewarded with a higher mark for the quiz. Me and Jennica were SO CLOSE. We were like the forth, and we were only missing 1 number. Joanna's group beat us to it...Oh well, it was really fun. Lolz.

UBC Apple Festival!

My mom and I went to the UBC apple festival at the UBC botanical garden today! Well, we haven't gone on a lot of local bus trips recently...so this is kinda like the first one for the school year. The weather was really nice. Anyways, our schedule was a bit tight, because the festival ends at 4:00, and it was already 1:30 when we came out from our house. We spent about 30 minutes on the bus and it wasn't very comfortable because the hot sun was shining on my face the whole time. When we finally got there, we paid $8.00 for entrance fee. Then we saw the apple festival. I would say that I would probably have more fun at the festival if I was 4 or 5. There were booths for face painting and story telling and such. The apple tasting place was CROWDED! Well never mind that. I was more interested in the botanical garden itself. There was a special place for growing organic fruits and veggies. I took A LOT OF PICTURES there. Oh, I just love the plants! There was a really cute scene which I had captured-----a little ladybug resting on a bunch of purple grapes! It was sooooo cute.

And so we wandered around the botanical garden after a small tour around the organic fruit 'n' veggies garden. There was a special area for imported plants around the world. I saw some really really weird desert plants with chubby stems and leaves. We have plenty of them back in Hainan, China, so it wasn't anything new for me. But there was this really really weird plants with fruits like huge pea pods and sticky seeds. Lolzzz. I had a really good time in the UBC botanical garden. Today's trip was really awesome, and I think I will post some of the pictures I took for today's events on my photography website sometime this week or the next!

Ugh

It's Saturday AGAIN---one of the busiest days of the week for me. I did tutor in the morning and harmony in the afternoon. It was literally exhausting. For harmony, I did about 5 lessons from last week's assignment, so it took my teacher almost an hour to mark and explain my assignment. The progress is great, but sometimes the homeworks are just a bit rushy. Tonight I have to do my Sierra Leone written report, math and a little bit of French. Then tomorrow I have tutor AGAIN in the morning, church at noon, the UBC apple festival in the afternoon and tutor AGAIN at night. I am not gonna be able to do any homework tomorrow, so I have to finish my school work tonight. Sigh~~~~

Awesome Day

So this morning we had football and surprisingly, I was beginning to improve at it! I have overcame the fear of catching the football (before I was scared that it might break my fingers). Lolz. For photography I did shadow pictures. Alex forgot his memory card so he used my camera and we both took some pictures together. That was when I found a spikey ball from a dead plant. I scared a lot of people with that invincible spike ball. Hahahahhahah. Lunch I studied with friends in the counselling suite for English because we would have an English quiz after lunch, and I presented the spike ball to my friends. At first they were really surpised. Then we played with it for a while and continued on with our studying.

The English quiz wasn't extremely hard, but it still required some critical thinking. I had to rush my essay at the end because I was running really low on time. Still, I finished it, so I am hoping for a decent mark out of this! I knew Mr. Hauck would give us quizzes which are not easy! Oh, and my spike ball opened during that class, and the furry seeds inside showed.

For science we handed in our proposal. I brought the spike ball along. Then we worked on our egg experiment and that took up most of the class. It was really fun. The egg was really squishy from all the vinegar...then we had to put it in salt water. Then after the experiment we got our science test back. I got perfect! 19/19 A lot of other people got perfect too. It was an easy quiz.

Overall today was pretty enjoyable, except for now I have to fininsh up my harmony and wash the dishes :/

Finally

Today we presented our Sierra Leone project! It went good. We got an A! But I was really regretting over some mistakes we made. For me, I was being too aggressive at answering people's questions...I should've given more questions to Vivian, Jason and Alex. Sorry guys :~p Another mark was taken off because one of our slides got messed up during the presentation (I don't know why...technical problems from Google doc). But overall it was a great presentation, and I feel the weight on my shoulder lifting a little. This weekend I will have to work on the individual written report. I am also aiming for a good A! :P

Now I have to work on my science fair proposal. I already have an idea in mind...but I am not too sure that it will really work in reality to my advantage. I really really wanna do good job on all of my projects, so I have to get back to work now! Cya!

Sierra Leone Project Tomorrow

Gahhhh we are presenting our Sierra Leone conflict project tomorrow! Tonight we have to wrap everything up so the next day we will have no worries and be prepared. I am a bit nervous because I really really wanna get a good grade out of this project. I am putting so much effort into this project...and I hope that my teammates understand that. Oh geez. I just hope everything work out fine tomorrow! As for now, I must get back to work. We still have to fininsh the rest of the slides and our speech. Peace!

Rushing

This afternoon was a bit rushy. I had debate club RIGHT AFTER the last block. I knew we were gonna have a practice debate today... so I was a bit scared for my new piano schedule, which was at 5:30. The debate club thing ended at 4:45. It took me 15 minutes to walk back to my house, so it was already 5:00 when I got back. I quickly gobbled down some cookies and soy milk and then grabbed my piano stuff and headed to my piano teacher's place. It took me 25 minutes to walk there with a fast pace and I had to run a little. Anyways, I made it on time! My piano lesson was an hour long, and after that my mom picked me up and we just had a relaxing walk before dinner.

Teh Big Turkey

Our turkey finally defrosted. I have to marinate it now with thyme butter and oil! Tonight we are gonna have an epic feast with potato wedges, corns, yummy turkey with gravy sauce/cranberry sauce, turkey stuffing, pumpkin pie and root beer. Lolololz. This Thanksgiving my mom has given me total responsibility over the preparation for the turkey dinner.

This afternoon I finished cleaning the turkey and marinating it with salt and butter and oil (not so healthy eh). I put it in the oven around 4:30. Then I moved onto the stuffings. I chopped parsley and onion and celery. That was basically all the ingredients for the stuffing which require manual work (except the chicken broth, but I can make it later just with boiling water and stock mix). Then I made cranberry sauce and while I was cleaning out a jam jar for it, I almost burnt the whole sauce. Although the sauce tastes a little bit burnt (just a little bit), but it's still good to eat!

The turkey took me at least three hours to cook...but it was worth the waiting. When it was finally done, the skin was so crispy and golden.

The turkey dinner was awesome. I had stuffing, corn, potato wedges with gravy and turkey with cranberry sauce. It was an epic meal. Now I shall eat all the leftovers from the huge turkey for a week!

I Feel Sick

Oh noesssss...I feel very sick today. My nose was stuffy and my throat felt scraped. I even have an annoying headache in my head from the lack of oxygen (stuffy nose!). Gahhhhhhhh. Yesterday we got invited to this dinner and the people ordered a bunch of spicy dishes. Maybe that's the cause for my sore throat and such. My mom has temporarily banned me from eating cookies and chips. Nuuuuuuu. WHY. WHY. WHY?!!!!! The worst thing in the world is being sick and not be able to eat all your yummy food. I feel like Garfield right now. Errrrrrr. This has happend before.Three years ago when I was in TianJin my cousin invited us to this Korean restaurant and the food was really really spicy there. That night I was completely mute because my throat was badly "damaged" by the spicy food. I had to go to the hospital and get special puffers. It was great suffering.

Me Kick Mushrooms

Today I was on my way to theory class when I walked by a bunch of trees. Under the trees there were tonnes of mushrooms, and most of them are like ball-shaped toadstools. I was so tempted to kick them because....well, I was tempted. So I kicked one of them, and the mushroom exploded. I remember from my childhood me and my friends used to play mushroom football. So basically you find a ball-shaped mushroom and then you toss/kick it back and forth until it explodes into a million pieces. Well, someone had already kicked some mushrooms before me (because I could see like three or four broken mushrooms). I kicked two more mushrooms and it was fun. Lololooolll

Gahahaha Thinking about Thanksgiving Already

Thanksgiving is on Monday!!! YESSSSS epic turkey feast time. Last year we had a huge roasted turkey, onion and raisin stuffing, potato wedges and pumpkin pie. This year I am still gonna do the same thing..but with some extra stuff! I wanna cook something different...lolololololz. MUST.SEARCH.WEB.FOR.SPECIAL.RECIPES. Nomnomnomnomnom. I can smell the festival in the air already! This year's Thanksgiving is gonna be awesome!

I am thinking about doing some casserole stuff. Anything else?

English Presentation Time!

Today my group had our English presentation and it went pretty good! Jessie almost freaked me out when she told me that she didn't bring her netbook...but turns out that she brought the USB drive for our powerpoint...phewwwww. Mr. Hauck photocopied our quizzes during lunch. At the beginning we showed the cursed videotape from the Ring just to get everybody into the right mood. Then we took notes on the overhead. Then Jessie played the slideshow which I created using rage comic. Kathy converted the youtube video clip into an mp3 audio clip so we could play it on the slideshow. Then we had our quizzy quiz, and everyone was like "IT'S SO HARDDDD!" Muwwahahahahah. Then we began our discussion, and that was when the class got more excited. Anyways, today has been a fun day.

English Presentation Tomorrow!

My group is gonna do our English presentation tomorrow! We are the last group to do it...so I am hoping that we do a really good job (cuz I wanna get good marks). Right now we are just wrapping everything up. The slideshow is looking good...To be honest I am kinda nervous...:p k gotta get back to work now! Sorry for the short blog, but this is an emergency situation!

The Pressure

Today we had the second-last English teaching presentation! That means we will be the last one doing it on Thursday. Ohhhhhhhhhh I can feel the pressure already! My group is planning on finishing most of the stuff and hopefully everything tonight, because we don't wanna procrastinate tomorrow night! Ohhhhhhh geeez. Well, just a little preview here, we will be doing a slideshow, and it's gonna be fun. I finished the slideshow like days ago, but my teammates added some more notes so I have to transfer that onto the slideshow. I hope everything turns out fine. I AM SO EXCITED!

Samosa

Monday is not the day I usually look forward to, but the school's samosa always give me some hope. Monday is the day when the people sell samosas at the old dog pound. Today, I ALMOST missed the samosas! Celinna and I were in the clothing room trying to get some stuffings, and the bell rang, so I was really nervous, because I didn't bring my lunch (cuz I was expecting samosas for Mondays). We quickly took the box down to Mr. Olson's room and while I was trying to sort things out I gave a dollar to Celinna so she could help me get a samosa (she was getting one herself too). Lolz. When she came back she had two samosas (one for me and one for herself) and they were HOT and drizzled with the delicious sauce of awesomeness. I was like onmnomonomonomononomonoommmnonomoonomonom. ME GUSTA SAMOSAS

Clump o' Orange Mushrooms

So today I was on my way to my piano teacher's house and I went past a clump of orange mushrooms under a tree. I've seen that clump of orange mushrooms before. In fact, I first saw it like a week ago! And it's still there, so perfectly undisturbed. Usually people would kick mushrooms into pieces, but I guess this clump of mushrooms look too unusal and disturbing that no one wanted to touch it. Anyway I stopped and examined the mushrooms. They were in a really bright shade of orange, and there were a lot of small flying bugs around them. It was kinda gross, and I was like o.o They must be really hard. I wanna see if they are still there next week. They really stick out. ME GUSTA WEIRD ORANGE MUSHROOMS

Yesssssss

I just came back from my tutoring session and calculated my piano fees and such. I found out that I am using the same amount of money as the previous sessions with four piano classes and four theory classes per week (now I have four piano classes and ten theory classes per week). I am actually earning money for my own piano fees! So proud of myself. It's really good for me, and I think I got more than that. First, I've paid a percentage of my own piano fees; second, I've had a great opportunity to practice my teaching and leadership skills; third, I've gain some teaching experience. Such a win. :P I AM ACTUALLY EARNING MONEY FOR MY OWN LEARNING!!!!!! WOTOOOOTTT

Lolz My Eyesight

I just had my eyesight checkup this morning and guess what: I've worsened by like 10%... :/ Lolz. So on the sheet is says like -4.00 or something like that. Okay, the funny thing at the beginning is that when the checkup lady tested my eyes on this weird machine, the little hole on the machine shot air right into my left eye. I was like owwww. She went on checking my right eye but I couldn't open my eyes wide because my brain was telling me to avoid the air shooting thing. Natural instinct I guess...Hahhahahaha. It took me a while to open my eyes properly and I think at the end the lady got a bit annoyed. Lolz.

Sigh.

Today was not a really exciting day. First there was the socials test, which I found a bit confusing and sorta hard-ish. I hope I did okay... :/ Anyways for applied skill me and Celinna made a felt mushroom, but we still have to stuff it (we ran out of stuffing). I also started on a blue fish. For math we had a practice test, which I did okay, and Ms. Knott just gave us completion marks. For French we did our presentation and it went okay I guess. I was really frustrated when I got my quiz back and I got half a mark off because of my carelessness. I spelled tross instead of trouss. ://////////// It's just so weird. Yesterday I was still having such a great day, and all of a sudden today became kinda rotten.

Oh So Happy

I am soooo happy today! In the morning my dad left the computer on so I went and checked my email to see if Mr. Hauck had sent us the UBC debate tournament candidate results. I GOT INTO THE JUNIOR TEAM!!! Yayayayyayayaaya. This is like, my first big debate tournament of the year, so I am really excited for it. We also did our 6 laps today and I got a time of 13:38. I improved from last year (last year I got like 15:48ish). I am so happy. Vivian C. was my running buddy so we got the same time. Neither of us walked during the whole thing so we are also gonna get a bonus. Hhehehehehehe.

For English we had Alex's group doing their teaching presentation. I really really liked the trailer which they made using minecraft characters. It's got a spooky music, and the scream at the end was just so funny. Hhahahahha.

For science we had lab. After school we did recycling club. We had a lesser load as compared to last week. A few more people joined, and we were really synergizing, which was good. I got to go up the attic in Mr. Olson's room everytime to put away the trays or to pass down gloves and such. It was a good day, although I smell a bit like the recycled items. I have to take a shower now. Bye!

Debate Club UBC Tournament Tryout

Today for debate club we did tryouts for the UBC Tournament. I was trying out for the junior team (grade 8-10). There were a lot of people trying out for the junior team...but Mr. Hauck can only take 8 people. So he gave us a topic about the legalization of polygamy and we were supposed to list all the pros and cons of the issue. At the end Mr. Hauck chose the top 10 people, and I was one of them!!! Yayyyyy~~~ so happy. But still, he could only take 8 people, so we had a mini debate tournament. I think I did fine. We don't know the results yet, because he's gonna send it to us. I hope I get in. It would really mean a lot to me if I can participate in the UBC tournament! :P

It's Raining, It's Pouring

The weather has been super bad all day! Geez, the rain just never stops! I walk home daily so today I was a bit wet and kinda cold-ish. The rain also makes me wanna sleep, because of the damp and cold feelings. But oh, I still have some work to do! Must do my best not to fall asleep!

Okay, enough complaints about the rain...Let's talk about my day. For PE we had a sub, and we just did the usuals----weight room, skipping, etc. We couldn't run outside because of the rain, so we just ran around the benches indoor. Photography we had another sub, and we watched this really cool video about the human eyes. I know some of the scientific stuff from last year. The special effects in the video are just amazing! Well, maybe the part where human transforms into a skeleton thingy wasn't soooo pretty. :P

For English Leslie's group did their teaching presentation and it was pretty good. The story Alicia was so sad...I've read it before, but it's still sad. For science we had another presentation, and our group did our experiment report on the relationship between the consumption of dairy products and the amount of fat excreted....cool isn't it?

Photography Fail

I found out on Friday that for the portrait and landscape project we were suppose to take pictures of the same subject in two ways. Some of my pictures are either just landscape or portrait. Oh gosh. I need 20 pairs. I think I can take some pics perhaps this afternoon or tomorrow. I am sooo busy today because I have to tutor again this afternoon for two hours, and I already had an hour in the morning. Sigh~~~~

Better Teaching

So I went and tutored my student again. This time, I invited her mom to join us, which she agreed. The lesson was extended to two hours instead of one. The little girl did great today, partly because her mom was by her side and was supervising her. I helped her memorized three songs for her upcoming competition in November. Everything went better than expected, and at the end I rewarded her a smiley face sticker for doing a good job. I also told her if she collects 15 smiley face stickers she can get a little surprise (gift). Wow, I think I am getting better and better at tutoring! This is such an awesome job.

Crocheting a....HAT?

Today I crocheted with some white yarn. As I crocheted more and more the circle started to curve and eventually formed a tiny hat. I was like o.o so I crocheted more and more until it was like a mushroom cap. Lolz. I bet I can make a carrot stuffy if I crochet with some orange yarn. Lololololol. Now that's a nice idea.:P

Or I can make a mushroom cap with a tiny mushroom stem. Will that sell?

Fitness Test & Volleyball Score Keeper!

Today for PE we had the fitness test! I wasn't really prepared...well, you can't really prepare for a fitness test except through a long-term practice right? I thought I was totally outta shape from the entire summer. But it turned out well, and I acutally improved some! My height is now 167cm ( I've grown 2 cm! My height from grade 8 term 3 was 165 cm) Haahahahha yesss. I did push-ups and got like 15. Not bad. Last year my best was only like 7ish. Then I did sit & reach. Also improved from last year. 7. ( it was a pretty good result, coming out from someone with almost 0-flexibility) Vivian did like 14 and I was like OMG. For crunches I did 30! Big improvement for moi. Then for the shuttle run I did 11.9 seconds (last year was like 13.something). Gahahahhahaha. So much win. Still haven't done the 50m dash yet. I hope I can still improve!

Anyways, afterschool me, Celinna and Leslie went to the main gym for the volleyball score keeper training session. I can't play on a volleyball team, but I still wanna get involved in the school's atheletic program, so I decided to give volleyball score keeper a shot. Ms. B taught us how to record each player's scores and we went to the senior girl's practice to practice our score keeping. It was really fun watching them play, and some of them are really good players. Anyways, it's been a busy day. :P

Recycling Club

This afternoon me, Celinna and Leslie joined the recycling club! This is like the second club I've joined in Churchill. Anyways, I rushed to Celinna's locker right after French to make sure that she didn't forget to stay. Turned out she just came out from PE. Hahahahah. We hurried to Ms. Fowler's room and expected that she would be there (cuz she's like the one who funds and supports the recycling club), but she wasn't, so we went to the cafeteria because a girl said she would be there. She wasn't there, so I was getting a bit nervous. Luckily some of my friends were there too, and they said that Ms. Fowler would come back because she was just going away to get some containers for the recycling stuff. When she came back she told us to go to Mr. Olson's room to put on some gloves. I was really really excited :p

After all the recycling bin had been brought in, we started sorting things out. The plastic bottles had to be put in a container; the juice boxes had to be put in another container, and so on...some of the bottles/cans/juice boxes still had liquid in them, so we had to pour that out in a big bin. It started to smell really stinky and sour as we poured more and more spoiled liquid into the bin. I was being so careful not to get splashed or anything, because that would be bad. Heheheh. When we finished sorting things out, we dumped them by categories into huge garbage bags and carried them into this garage thing right beside Mr. Olson's room.

There were a lot of people helping out with the recycling. Although we had a huge load of recyclable stuff, we still had no problem sorting them out and get them recycled. We all worked super fast under perfect cooperation----that's what I call SYNERGY!

Now that I've formally signed up for recycling club, I'm gonna come out every Wednesday with my friends to do some recycling!

I Don't....Get It

So today I ran for the debate club's secretary and internal vice president. I didn't get the positions, but it was a very good practice, and I also learned some valuable lessons. I was a little bit pissed off at some of the results of the election though. I had no trouble with me losing, because the guy who won the secretary position was very nice, and his speech was very creative "the perfect hands that shall write down everything". Sharon won the internal vice president, and she had many supporters from the previous Synergy 9 class, which is pre-IB right now. But at the beginning we had the grade 8 rep first. I had my eye on this kid name Ramie (I am not sure how to spell her name). I thought her speech was wholesome, and she was being really really sincere about this job. I voted for her, but unfortunately she didn't win the position. Another girl named Tiffany won the position because she said "I make awesome sandwiches so vote for me" that was it. To be honest with you I don't really think she cared about this job...she wasn't really serious about it. But I guess she was sorta like the popularity queen there, so a lot of people voted for her. I didn't think that was fair. I wanted someone who is actually sincere about this job.

Anyways, some people won the position because of their popularity. A lot of the voters didn't care about the speeches...they just voted for popularity. For external vice president this girl named Jessica won the position and I think she deserves it, because her speech was really good, and she definitely has a lot of experience (I saw her from last year. She's probably in grade 12 now). For president, Gavin from Pre-IB and Demi from grade 12 both won the position. Their speeches were good too.

I think everyone is a winner in this election. I've also learned a lot about some candidates. I really appreciate a number of them because I can tell from their sincerity. That's what really matters to me. Sincerity.

Next year I will definitely come out again and run for positions. By then I'll obviously have more experience and more supporters. This is good.

I am KNITTING, KNITTING

So for applied skills today I knitted stuff as usual. My employees have already made several small items from yarn. Them made this white decoration thingy which I mistook for a jellyfish, but it's actually like a flower. I also learned how to do a multi-color knit from Leslie (she also taught me how to crochet from last class) :P even though I screwed up the knit and lost the stitches a few times, it was still so fun. We are gonna make a pencil case with it. Celinna and Leslie are also making this fluffy pillow thingy. I think the crowds are gonna love our product. :P

Btw, my knitting got interrupted because of the photo day thing. I had to go to the cafeteria for my photo, and geez the line was soooo long. I waited and waited until it was finally my turn. When I returned to Mr. Olson's room Austin almost locked me out. So basically a few people stayed, and Tony, Austina and Josh were singing this epicly weird song about... you know what, I am not even gonna tell you what they were singing about-.-

Mapping

This morning I wanted to get my map project done. I've already gotten all the labels down in pencil, so I just fine lined them with blue ink. But right after my fine lining I felt kinda scared about using blue ink, so I went on google chat and ask a few people and they all replied that perhaps black is a better choice, so I just re-fine lined the whole thing. We are suppose to show the elevations by using different colors. I don't have an atlas so I went online and searched for Europe's physical map. I just colored and colored but I had to go at 11:00. I came back at 1:00 and ate my lunch and played piano so by the time I got back to my map it was already 6 something in the evening. My mom insisted on me going for a run with my dad as my daily exercise...so I went out again...

I just finished most of my map. I just need all the latitudes and longtitudes. My original plan got a little bit mixed up... :P

The Challenge

So this morning I went over to my "student"'s house for her piano tutoring. She was not really in a good mood, considering she had to practice piano so early in the morning (at 8:30 am). Anyway, I told her to practice the scales first. She replied "I DON'T KNOW HOW TO PLAY IT." But I knew she was just saying it because she didn't want to play it. As the strict tutor, I insisted on playing the scale. But she was like "IDONTKNOWIDONTKNOW" So I was like, "Okay, fine then, I will TEACH YOU HAND BY HAND" She thought about it for a sec, then gave up and played the scale.

We moved onto the next piece of music. It was a rather large piece for her level. At the beginning she played it nicely, but got stuck in the middle. THAT PART was like the main difficulty of the piece. She got kinda irritated and wanted to skip that part, but I was being so serious and stern I made her play it. She pulled out that IDONTKNOWHOWTOPLAYTHIS saying so I told her that if she doesn't know how to play it I shall teach her hand by hand note by note so she had to follow the rules. The hour went by pretty fast and there were a lot of struggle and irritation...the last minute her mom came in and the girl was quiet and played the piece as I wished. Afterward I told her mom to come in next class and stay with us for the tutoring. She agreed, and said that it's nice to have a strict teacher (because a lot of Chinese parents love strict teachers).

That was a big accomplishment, you know, getting her mom to stay with us for the next lesson next Saturday. My strictness can only have the best effect if the mother is with us so that the little girl would behave. I remember when I was 6 I had a very strict teacher and my mom stayed by my side EVERY class. It's weird: my mom doesn't know how to play the piano, but she makes a great critic. When I was a bit older I got a tutor who was also verrrrry strict. One class was not enough for one single piece of music, because she was so strict she made me play every note with extra care and understanding. Now that I think of it, I am really thankful for these two strict teacher and tutor of mine. I kinda want to test their teacher method out on the little girl, because it worked for me. But who knows...maybe it will not work on her as good as I expect it will be. I still have so much to learn...

Photography Class

So for photography today we got to get out of the classroom and take pictures of people's faces. Actually, 20 faces. I think I took more than 20...Anyway, some people don't really care about people taking pictures of them, but some were really sensitive. A lot of people saw us coming and they either covered up their faces or walked away really really fast. Me, Alex and Tony went around the school and hunted for faces. Hhahahahah. When we went out of the school there were people running laps and I was able to get a few shots of they as they ran past by. Claire was really fast so I wasn't able to take a picture of her face..but oh well. I am gonna do more work on my google site and hopefully upload all the pictures during the weekend.
