Ow

The corner of my lips hurt so bad right now :'( So today my lips were a bit dry----okay, they were VERY dry because I didn't drink water...and then I made the stupidest mistake ever. I YAWNED. The corner of my lips had a small rip. Hurts a lot when i try to lick it. And I can't yawn anymore because of the annoying little rip! Gah Probably will hurt when eating salty stuff for dinner. I am scared.

Tests

We have a French test and a socials quiz tomorrow! Must study~~~~~Meanwhile, I am going to post moar pictorial stuff on my blog! That includes pictures and videos! Well for me it will be mostly videos!

Yay

I am learning a lot of new techniques in golf! Today we just did chip shots and a couple of wrist swinging thingys. We did this today because I asked my teacher that when I am bringing my arms back to swing at the ball whether I should flex my wrist or not and he showed me that it really depends on the situation. For example, if I want more power, I can like use my wrist. But if I want more control such as hitting a specific target, I should not flex my wrist----that's called a chip shot. After the lesson I spend more than an hour practicing on 180 golf balls (3 buckets) I am getting the hang of it! I like the wrist shots the best...cuz I can hit it so high up and far as well! Weeeeeeeeeee

Getting Better

I am getting better nao! The headache is gone and my throat is healing! But I am still banned from yummy food such as burgers and fries that might irritate my throat. I guess I still need to stay away from them for a week for my throat to completely get back to normal

This morning I went out for tutoring and the wind was just like CRAZY. I was in the car and the trees along the road were just like swaying like crazy. When I walked back people's lawns had a lot of broken tree branches and twigs. The wind even pushed me and made me walk forward a bit faster :p Hhehehehehe. The weather is weird nowadays, because yesterday it snowed as well! Now it's sunny. I am not sure if the wind will return though.

Gah Headache

I cancelled tutoring tonight because I've been feeling dizzy all day. When I got home I was having a bad headache and just took a nap. I guess I am still a bit sick. Regardless, I am slowly getting better. But today's headache was just bad...Imma leave this blog short because I am not feeling that well. Goodnight!

Worrrrrk

I finished my English project! Yay! Nao I must do moar theory homework (hasn't done any yet due to sickness) My throat is recovering. It's still sore, but at least it's better than yesteday! I am gonna have some more yummy congee tomorrow :) It's almost the weekend now. As I have mentioned before...I don't like the weekend because there's so much work to do during the weekend...but oh well, I guess I just have to get used to it!

Gah.

I was right. I did have a bad fever last night. I was kinda burning up and my throat and nose still hurt so badly when I went to school today. What's worse---we had to run Langara today. That really sucked for me because all my strength had been sucked out by the fever. But Viv was so nice! She ran with me and accompanied me all the way! THANK U VIV <3333333 Ur such a good friend! Gah now I feel kinda bad about stopping too many times...I dragged Viv's mark down :'( Me no gusta. Sorry Viv... Cat will do better next time! Gah Viv you are such an AWESOME friend! I hate being sick because my body doesn't feel well and everything is just UGH. Gah. I am having some chicken noodle soup right now. That's good. I hope I can get better soon!

Sick

Ugh...I am sick right now....my throat just hurts a lot, same with my nose...Curse these chocolates! Whenever I eat something like chocolate or fries (in large quantity) my throat/nose get irritated and they swell up...Ugh. Sigh...I can only eat congee as for now...And whenever I swallow it hurts...I think I might have a small fever tonight...UGH I don't really want that to happen. I hate being sick.  GAHHHHH THIS IS REALLY REALLY BAD. Last time I got sick like this I was almost muted because my throat was swelling up so badly I couldn't really speak. I guess this time it might be the same as well...I really don't want that to happen...

Tired....and Half-Frozen

Gah I just went to mon golf lesson and god it was freezing cold out there. At first it was okay-ish, then the sun started to set and basically the temperature just dropped really really LOW. My hands were half-frozen. It was sooooo cold...I think my toes almost fell off. Next time me will dress warmer...This is lesson well-learned. Oh god why is Vancouver so cold during the winter. Well, at least I am not in Yukon right now...I would become a snowman :P

Tales of Earthsea

I just watched this movie called Tales of Earthsea by Hayao Miyazaki!!! <3333333 Plot based on this book we read in grade 8, Wizard of Earthsea, and the whole series. The plot was kinda different from the books but...still...IT WAS AWESOME! Hayao Miyazaki is such a genius. I love all of his animations!!!!! He draws so epicly and his works are so unique!

Back to Word Blogs

After two days of continuous picture blogs (inspired by mon amie, Car) I am back to my usual word blog! Yay! That was fun. Anyways, today is a Pro-D day so I have one free day of ....WORK! I have planned out my day with theory hw, Chinese math, card-making, piano and tutoring. I might be going to a friend's house this afternoon. But today my day is pretty much planned out, and I think it's a good plan because I can have some leisure time in between. :)

Oh and yesterday night I was watching this movie by Hayao Miyazaki (dude who made Spirited Away). It's called The Secret World of Arrietty and it's about a boy meeting a borrower (tiny human) called Arrietty. It's soooo beautiful!!!!! <33333333 Such a good movie. It's coming out this month (DVD release by Disney) but this movie already came out in Japan like two years ago so I just downloaded it and watched it with English subtitles. >;3

Valentine's Day

So today for Valentine's Day we had the hearts thingy and we were suppose to not talk to guys during break/lunch in order to keep our heart. Me, Carina and Viv lost our hearts. The good thing is I got to keep all the pins so I can poke people with it. I made Viv lose her heart so I can have the pin. I is very evil. Now I am gonna make a beautiful necklace with all the pins and hang it on my wall as a souvenir. Gahahahahah.

We were supposed to wear pink today, which I unintentionally did due to a French project. Hhehehehehe. I am always wearing pink so it doesn't really matter :p Here are some cute Valentine pics:

Aquarium!

Today we went to the aquarium for le photography fieldtrip! I've never been to the aquarium before so I was quite excited. Tony, Alex and I were walking together. Basically we took the Canada Line to Waterfront and just WALKED from there all the way to the aquarium in Stanley Park. It was a pretty long walk. Nevertheless, we got there, and I saw so many marine animals! There were starfishy, weird fishy and other cool animals. I saw this huge starfish stuck on the glass wall. Hehehehhe. There was this nemo aquarium thing and it was filled with tonnes of nemos and other tropical fishy. There was an Amazon section in the aquarium and it featured some really really large fishy! There were also exotic birds and small monkeys there as well :P But my favorite part was the jelly section. All the jellyfishy looked sooooo beautiful and cute and gahhhhhhh I couldn't take my cameras off them. They were INSANE. Some of the golden jellies looked so glorious in contrast to the blue water. The white jellies were really pretty as well and they looked like big flowers. :P ME GUSTA JELLIES

Quick Blog

Gah sorry for the late blog! Geez today's blog is gonna be incredibly short. I am still working on my English project! Gahahhahahha so much work. At least tomorrow we have the aquarium fieldtrip! Really looking forward to that! Hehehhehehe. Btw, sorry for the late uploads of mah pics. I am gonna upload all of them sometime this week after all the projects and stuff along with my aquarium shots :p

Gah...

Moar work. Great. Just moar work. Next week I am gonna be stuck with tonnes of projects and tests, etc. WHY? Gagahgahghaghaghh. I feel like eating some soda crackers right now to neutralize the sourness of my heart. Yep. I am sour from all the works I have to do. Darn it. I think I just realized that I am getting lazier and lazier everyday. THIS IS NOT GOOD!!! I was never like this in China. I would work so epicly hard in China and not even complain. Now that I look back and I wonder-----how did I do that?

Dance!

Today we finally did the dance! It was actually pretty fun. Before we got to the place me and mes amies went to Broadway for some yummy pizzas and drinks. Then we took the Canada line down to Olympic Village. Almost got lost...but we got the place. Hehehehe. Anyways, the dance took forever to start, so me and Car just went to the dock to do a little "fishing" with straws and basically just wandered around. Then...the dance started! We did a few practice rounds. Then we got our elementary school buddies! My buddy was this grade 7 guy. I was glad he wasn't short (Or else I would have to bend down to do the dance with him). But I kept on losing him during the dances. A lot of the times he was way too front and there was some other people in between us. But after a few rounds it was better. We did A LOT OF ROUNDS for the dance, and it was getting kinda cold. The dance was a pretty awesome experience and I really enjoyed doing it. Afterwards me and mes amies (again) went to Broadway for some Starbucks and Celinna had to get some stuff at Michael's so we just went with her. After that we got home and overall today was pretty nice :p

MOOSE

So right now Viv and I are working on our English project. We are doing a comic book called MOOSE. Basically it's a reaction to the book Maus. I am not releasing any detailed info here yet...just wait til Monday and you will be able to see it! I think it's gonna look great! Viv is writing out the dialogue and stuff and I am drawing. We are working at a good pace. Imma drawwwwwwwww~~~~~~ Hehehhehheheh. I just love drawing so much. With MOOSE----What I do is that I do all of my drawings WITHOUT drafting. Everything will be done right on the spot with ink. I have to be really really careful because if I do something wrong on this page it could mean the end of the world for the other pages as well. :O

Today

So today was okay...I guess. We didn't do much. One thing is that I got the dance moves! Weeee. Usually I suck at dancing. Anyways, still feeling a bit weird from science fair...so I might need to get some more sleep to truly recover from that horrendous event. GAH. Such horrifying experience. Make-Up Blog (2)

So I worked and worked and worked and I was STILL NOT FINISHED! GAHAHAHHAHAH I was really going insane at that time. I tried so hard to finish off my project but there were so many things to be done! As I have mentioned in my previous blog...I got no sleep. LITERALLY NO SLEEP AT ALL. Carina stayed up with me and she got no sleep either, and we just kept each other's company. I was half brain-dead throughout the night. In the morning I was STILL NOT FINISHED. I rushed the last little bit but overall my project looked really good. I am proud of it. Still, next year I don't wanna repeat this rushing tradition again...D:

I was super alert and hyper when I got to school that morning. I was just so energetic for some reason, and that was a BAD SIGN. I knew it right away. I crashed after lunch and I just felt all light and weird and just really...absent from the world! Basically I was still super alert, but I didn't feel like myself and I was TOTALLY BRAIN DEAD. It was so hard to try to concentrate because my mind was just like bleeehhehehehe. When I got home I just crashed and slept for an hour. Then I had to wake up again for piano lesson. I wasn't doing such a good job because my concerto piece required like dramatic strenght and stuff and I was just weak and weird from the sleepless day. That was really really not good. I went home and quickly ate my dinner and then crashed again at about 8:30pm and just slept 'til morning. When I woke up this morning I still felt a bit weird, but of course it was wayyyy better than yesterday. Ughghghghhg....

Make-Up Blog (1)

Sorry I skipped two blogs in a row! Here are two make up blogs and one blog for today.. But first, lemme talk to you about what happened on Monday, Feb 6th.

IT WAS SCIENCE FAIR WORKING DAY. I had a lot of work to do and it was just killing me. I wasn't able to do work during the weekend because I was occupied with some other events. GAH. So even one day of working time was still not enough for me. I ended doing work all day and even extended my work to the next morning without ANY SLEEP at all. I actually went further this year, considering last year I still got 1 hour of sleep. This year I got NONE. Painful. But my project looked really really nice and I am just really proud of it. Yes. I think my hard work is gonna pay off.

Now then, I shall discuss about the breaking dawn of Feb 7th, the day of which my project was due....in my 2nd make-up blog. :p

SCIENCE FAIR!

You know what...I think I should start putting together my poster board today after mon piano practice. I got all the crafty materials I needed...but not all of the SCIENTIFIC MATERIALS! I still haven't printed some of them out yet. I also need to convey my data into graphs, etc and write the discussion sections, etc. I haven't had time to work on it yesterday because I  had a debate tournament. Tonight and the whole day tomorrow is gonna be my "UNDISTURBED SCIENCE FAIR DAY"!! God I wanna finish this fast. I wanna get a good mark on this. :P

St. John's Regionals

So today I attended the regional's debate tournament at St. John's School! My partner Jason and I worked so late yesterday night trying to finish up our notes...and we got a lot of notes! Anyways, we got to the school and before the rounds started they gave us little souvenirs such as a pin and a foldable water bottle. Hhehehe. ANYWAYS.....Let's get to the rounds.

Round 1: Us vs. Vancouver College. Gah. Those guys were pretty good. We came pretty close but unfortunately we lost this round I think. It was the first debate round of the morning so my team was kinda rusty. But we did better in Round 2! It was us vs. Vancouver College again but a different team. I think we might've won this round! The opposition team made some really weird comments which didn't make sense. These two rounds were the prepared rounds. Then we had lunch. Lunch box had a rosemary chicken sandwich with antipesto spread, a cookie + an apple. That was okay. And then we got our impromptu topic. I ALMOST DIDN'T BELIEVE WHAT I HEARD FOR THE IMPROMPTU TOPIC. The resolution was: BIRT that fear is the lock and laughter is the key. I was like O.O WUT. Then my partner explained to me and I realized what it meant. We were suppose to model this thing! Ughghghghghghg. First round of impromptu was okay. We were against the Little Flower Academy. I am actually not too sure about that round's result. But it wasn't bad. Then the final round we faced one of the guy we had faced in the UBC tournament! It was Dimos from Eric Hamber! He was a pretty good debater as well. This time he had a new partner (last time his partner was this grade 8 girl named Natasha) I think we won this round, because his partner wasn't that strong.

Anyways, it had been a long day. Although we didn't make it into the provincials, I am still pretty happy with myself. At this stage I am not expected that much of earning places. I am still an amateur and right now it is my learning stage! Going to the regionals at St. John made me learn a lot of things. Another thing I was pretty satisfied with is that I contributed the most useful notes for our team. Weeeee! Overall it was a really good experience. I think I am improving everytime I participate in a debate tournament!

Gah Science Fair & Debate Tourney

SO BUSY TODAY! I have to work on my science fair, my debate tournament (which is tomorrow) and do piano tutoring. I still have to play the piano for two hours this afternoon regardless. Gah. So. Busy! Why~~~~~NUUUUUU ME NO GUSTA. I am kinda stressed a bit right now. As for the debate research, we are still not that done yet...and I think we might have to stay up late tonight to finish everything. And then tomorrow we have to be there at 8:00am. Gah. So.little.sleep! On Monday I don't want anything to bother me. I seriously have to have the whole Monday to myself doing science fair >:\

Sad Book

Today I finished this really sad book called "Chinese Cinderella" by Adeline Yen and it made me cry. I could make so many connections and understand the book. It's just so sad. I've never cried to a book like this one before... :'( The ending was very good, but I felt very sad for Adeline because she was struggling to survive in a family of which she was pretty much neglected. The passing of her mother, grandmother and grandpa saddened me the most. I just feel so emotionally right now :'(

Science Fair Board

Today after my theory class me and my dad went to get a science fair board. I wanted a green board with the header board. We went to Staples on Broadway, but unfortunately they only had white and blue ones. That wasn't very good. Then we went to the tiny Staples in Downtown but it was past their operating hours. Then we went to this other big Staples which was in Downtown also and FINALLY I found a green board with header! Weeeeeeeeee ME GUSTA. I am so overjoyed. I also plan to not procrastinate this year, and I think the four-day weekend will help me a lot!
