My Bitter Melon Plant

I checked on the shelf I built for my bitter melon plant this morning and found out that the plant has already used its "tentacles" and hung onto the shelf. It's so cute. I built the shelf out of long twigs I found under the shrubs near the fence and I just tie the things together and stuck them in holes in the ground. The bitter melon plant has already bloomed two flowers, and I could see tiny forms of the bitter melon under the flowers. Yum yum. Unfortunately I won't be able to see the fruit ripe because I am going back to Vancouver this Saturday. Sigh...I will miss you my bitter melon plant. Oh yeah, and I've named it Basket.
