Capilano College Field Trip

We had a great field trip today at Capilano College! It was kinda hard finding our way to the rooms, but we did it! The whole morning we were doing brainstorming about DNA and we started a crime scene investigation activity. We were presented with a case of a dead woman found at the softball diamond with a bloody bat at the crime scene and we were asked to analyze a bunch of DNA samples from a list of suspects. It was quite fun and exciting! We got to use the pipette, this syringe/sucker tool that can draw up a small amount of liquid. It was soooo cool using the device and suck up small amount of samples from the little containers. At the end we played Jeopardy and it was really really fun and everyone was really competitive. Congrats Josh Kevin and Andy! You guys won the game! I think after this field trip most of us are ready for the upcoming test on Wednesday!
