Thanksgiving Dinner

Whew! The stuffing is finally DONE! After a day of preparation, our early Thanksgiving dinner was really successful, even though it was our first time putting a turkey in the oven and first time to make home-made stuffing. We have got all the ingredients from the supermarket and most of them were for the stuffing. I made the rice and raisin stuffing using cooked rice, chicken broth, raisins, onions, carrots, bread crumbs and seasonings, and believe me, it tasted WONDERFUL. My mom was worried about the turkey, since we have no experience whatsoever about cooking a turkey. However, the turkey was nice done and it was DELICIOUS with a coating of melted butter and honey on its crispy skin. I also made butter-coated baked potatoes for our entree and it went well with our home-made gravy. The whole Thanksgiving dinner was absolutely FABULOUS. Too bad our guest was unable to come and missed this wonderful meal. Oh well, he had still got a chance to taste our amazing cooking on Christmas Eve!
